5. I read this as a good opportunity for progressive or more "sane" candidates
This doesn't surprise me, as there's only a handful of Congressional members and Senators that are actually voting on principle. I have never been more let down by a group of people elected to office - especially after everything we were promised in 06' if we just made it happen for them.

However, I honestly feel that this presents a golden opportunity to put up other candidates to run against these incumbents when they are up for reelection. The climate is such that many people are actually taking a look at candidates and where they are on issues that really mean something, rather than looking at their favorite wedge issue or voting for who they are told to vote for. Give them options and we could send some of these morons home and start putting candidates in office that actually work for the people.
