but McCain kept stipulating "must be pro-life anti-choice"

I thought his choice would be a joke...and Palin is a joke. Right wing fundies always are....which isn't to say they can't be dangerous...just that they are always caricatures

I still find it curious though...his choice. I think his choice was made for him by others....and that worries me to a degree.

McCain doesn't worry me and a Mccain/Palin ticket doesn't worry me....but evidence suggest he was herded toward Palin by some well known names in fundyland and that does make me wonder....and I can't help but think it's slightly more than just appeasement. Like maybe there's some long term thinking behind launching an unknown on the national stage for future reasons...

I know there was talk of the religious right dying out not all that long ago...something I remain skeptical of....those fuckers have been the enemy of good government for years....course, maybe it is as simple as that....Think we're dying out? Well, meet Palin...the next generations Phyllis Schlafly.
