20. AS much as I like Tom and dislike some things Obama has done....
we shouldn't ignore the pro-wrestling element at play here. Let me say that doing something just for political ends does not justify the means BUT

If there is conclusion the issue ends. If there is drama people will stay tuned. That is pro-wrestling.

IF Obama did all the things (or even some to a greater degree) this issue could go away. If he doesn't it stays alive. Both sides of DC do this, us with healthcare (times require actual movement now) and them with abortion, gun rights, "values", etc. but neither seizes the opportunity to end it or let it go away. This both distracts the masses and gives the media something to scream at each other about.

I am disappointed in Obama to a degree on this and other issues but realize that not only can he keep this alive he does have a GIANT issue for the rest of the year-Healthcare. He can't have all of DC turn on him now. Regardless of what we want to think about the public being able to affect change in DC (it can) it is often slow mostly because the money in DC likes being the money in DC and wants to continue being the money in DC so they don't want any "drastic" conclusion either.
