8. Problem with that is, many Americans don't perceive it that way.

Our dumbing-down by the corporate media has led to a widespread feeling that believing something REALLY strongly and saying it more loudly makes one the winner.

It takes some reflection to realize that those who know the least usually know it the loudest. And it is that reflection that many Americans are woefully unwilling to pursue.
