14. Thanks for the photo - the impression I get is not casualness,
but awkward sloppiness. They are still wearing what are clearly dress shirt - likely expensive dress shirts - and they don't look casual. Also, though the shirts are all not white, the impression is a bland sea of white - a perfect metaphor for their vague, bland pledge.

Think of the casual/yet neat dress of Obama while campaigning. It managed to convey both neatness, while not sending a message that he was not serious. (For that matter, Kerry's khaki pants and his checked or other subtle patterned shirts were more casual than this. Senator Brown was NOT the first MA candidate to wear a barn coat - and I would bet that Kerry did not buy his just for the image it projected.)
