Turn on Turner Classic Movies.

I know it's all the oldies, but man, it does clear my head and restore a sense of sanity. I can now see first-hand why so many people went to the movies back in the 30s and 40s, when the shit was splattering off the fan.

If you can't afford cable TV, see if you can catch some oldies on video sites. It really does help me.
