283. Regarding radio,
the American people own the airways. They are merely leased by broadcasters. Since the airways are part of the public domain, it is the responsibility of government to see that all broadcasts serve the public interest. Rant radio falls way short of that standard. Remember, neither Rush Limbaugh nor Clear Channel have any free speech or proprietary rights to broadcast over the public airways. So go ahead and picket the stations, but don't forget the FCC.
