Kercher/Knox: A 21st Century Feminist Nightmare [View All]

Remember the old days, when a rape victim was likely to be asked “How short was your skirt? Were you wearing panty hose? Why weren’t you wearing pantyhose?”

Looks like the old days are not so old after all. There is an important lesson to be learned from the Knox-Kercher case. Society----in this case the press---tells us that the victim of a brutal crime is only deserving of our sympathy if she is attacked by a stranger, preferably while she was in her own room, saying her rosary while wearing a high collar, flannel nightgown. In contrast, a woman who invites a man to her apartment and who then gets raped and murdered---well, she was obviously asking for it.

Society tells us that a woman who is raped and then murdered is partly to blame. She must have flaunted her sexuality. If she had just covered up, she would not have excited her rapist. Never mind that rape is about power rather than sex. Rapists attack those whom they consider vulnerable---elderly women, children---not just those who are young and attractive.

On the other hand, a woman who is the victim of a satanic cult is obviously innocent of all wrong, including the sin of being sexual. Her shining pure innocence is what makes her a worthy sacrifice to the devil. Her death elevates her to the status of a Christian martyr, a rarefied being deserving of sainthood----

Guede's assertion that he had met and flirted with Miss Kercher the night before was refuted by her friends, who said they had not seen the two together, and that Miss Kercher would never invite a relative stranger back to her home.

What possible difference does it make whether the man convicted of raping and murdering her broke in through a window or was invited over for a drink? Rape is rape and murder is murder. Does Guede think his crime is less if she "lead him on"? Do Kercher's friends think that her tragedy if less is she "lead him on"? This is 2011. Why is the press even going here?

Mr Kercher said he would "never get over" Meredith's murder and added that he was finding it "very difficult" to take in autopsy reports that she had had sex with her killer before she was murdered.

"Meredith was just not that sort of person," said Mr Kercher, a freelance journalist from Coulsdon, south London.

"She would never have got involved in anything like that. It is still so difficult. I think I am dealing with it, and then I see cards and pictures or I hear her name mentioned and it sets me off crying again. I will never get over it," he said.

Never get involved in anything like what? Sex? So what if she did? Would that make her death any less tragic? I can understand why her dad would say something like that. But why did the press print it? What were they trying to prove? Apparently the press wanted to make her a modern day St. Agnes, the Roman era Christian virgin who was martyred for refusing to marry. I'll bet they thought they were doing her a favor, stripping her of the "taint" that comes from being sexual. Well, I have news for the press. Women are sexual, just like men. Sexuality is part of being human. If you deny a woman her sexuality, you are making her less than human.




Society tells us that there are only two types of women, virgins and whores. Every virgin is a saint. Every whore is a succubus. While Meredith Kercher was being stripped of her humanity and nailed onto a pedestal labeled “saint”, Amanda Knox was convicted in the court of public opinion for being sexual---and therefore, the Whore of Babylon.

Evidence was also put to the court about how Knox kept a pink Rampant Rabbit vibrator in a transparent beauty case in the women's shared bathroom.

When Miss Kercher's British female friends took the stand, they testified about how the presence of the sex toy made Miss Kercher feel uncomfortable.

It was claimed by the prosecution that the sex toy was presented in this way to intimidate Miss Kercher.

Moral of this story---"good" women do not masturbate. "Bad" women do. Oh, and whenever the "bad" women are not playing with themselves, they are trying to lead their "good" female friends into sin, because that is what Satan wants them to do. Satan and all the guys who get off watching two girls go at it.

Yet in the middle of it all sat barmaid Amanda Knox, whispering sweet nothings to her latest conquest, her chest pressed against his, their mouths just millimetres apart and seemingly unaware of the chaos ensuing around her.

Chaos. Conquest. A woman who has sex is obviously out to destroy the world. With super-villain aspirations like those, would she even hesitate to murder her own roommate?

The Italian prison guard was 'obsessed' with talking to Knox about her sex life and often called the American into his office for late-night 'chit chats', according to The Sun.

You've got to be careful when dealing with those she-devils. They can corrupt even a man of the cloth--or a man of the law.

During the prosecution's closing arguments, she was cast as a "diabolical she-devil" with a lusty temper that drove her to sexual violence and murder. Prosecution witnesses spent months describing her hygiene, her love life, and her sex toy.

Do I even need to comment on this bullshit? Prosecution spent "months" talking about her sex toy? Who is sexed obsessed here? Amanda or the prosecutor? Trick question. Once again, it is the Whore of Babylon's fault if she fills men's heads with filth.

Among them was a man she met and had sex with on the train on her way to Perugia. On Facebook, she put down as her interests “men”.

Well, that proves her guilt. Women who are interested in "men" want to get rid of the competition, right?

The press and the prosecutors in this case should be ashamed of themselves. This is the 21st century, and still they attempt to pigeonhole women. This kind of virgin/whore mentality does more than help convict women on flimsy evidence. It leads to unwanted pregnancy---girls are told that if they plan for sex by having condoms available, then they are sluts. It places the burden of childrearing on mothers alone, by casting children as the wages of their sin, forcing mothers and children to live in poverty. It is used to strip women of their reproductive rights----promiscuous women must bear their children, since their pregnancy is God’s divine wrath. And any woman whose skirt is too short and any woman who decides to join the army and go to Iraq and any woman who just happens to be a women rather than a saint has it coming if some man forces her to the ground and brutally rapes then murders her.
