7. Well...
The crazies on the right may like newt, but a lot of the "christians" don't! Newt has a whole lot of baggage, and being married 3 times just isn't what the christian right likes to see in their candidate. He also had some questionable behavior that he didn't want to come out in an ethics committee investigation, so he left office on his own. I really can't see Newt doing well, except maybe with the nuts in the party. However I also heard, didn't watch the debate last night, that he came out in defense of the illegals that have been in this country a long time and that didn't go over very well with the "tea party" nuts. Remember what happened to Perry over the dream act thing.

Even if by some miracle Newt managed to win the nomination, he just won't be able to pull of a national win. The man is so full of BS, has back peddled almost as much as Romney, and has more baggage than most of the others put together that hasn't even come out yet.

I look for Romney to start going after him, and who knows what will come out of the closet when that happens. I still think Mitt has this one because it's pretty much is turn, must like it was with McCain. The powers that be know the chance of taking back the WH is very, very slim with the car load of "clowns" they have running, so why not let Mitt be the sacrificial lamb this time around, like McCain was in 2008. Let him have his turn and then that will be it for Mitt. In 2016 they can put out their "heavy" hitters and hope they have a better chance to take on whoever the democrats come out with.
