About Me

I am 57, retired teacher and illustrator, life-long dem., activist, union member. Also I do not use social media and I'm technologically retarded. I love dogs, rock music and swearing (a lot). My 17 year old "puppy" died on June 2, 2020. She grew up listening to Animals (Pink Floyd). She has kept me sane through the tRump years, not easy, and has given me endless love, companionship, kisses and tail wags.

Oldie but goodie, P Floyd on WKRP

I actually remember this episode. "Do you hear dogs barking?".

Have you ever had a NDE (near death experience)?

Do you know anyone who has had one? Sharon Stone and Liz Taylor have had them as have hundreds of thousands around the world, from various cultures.

Can Biden pass Infrastructure by Exec. Order

or did he already use that one up and any more is not advisable?

Moral Monday March on Manchin

The Poor People’s Campaign will hold a demonstration against West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin on Monday evening.

Liberal activists will gather at a park in Charleston to hold a “Moral March on Manchin.”

They are rallying against the moderate Democrat’s decision to oppose a landmark overhaul of U.S. election law.

Manchin opposes the proposal known as For the People Act because he believes it risks further stoking partisan divides.

As a key senator in a divided chamber, Manchin has frustrated progressive Democrats with his reluctance to support several key agenda items.

Is "Abuse Of Power" another federal crime to add to his list

of a zillion other crimes like Obstruction Of Justice, Starting a Ressurection, killing thousands with Covid, etc? If this doesn't get him locked up nothing will.

Just a short lkst of his crimes...

And these....

Definitely! Need to set a precedent.

No more of "Can a sitting president....?". Will there now be a GOP rule that an EX-POTUS can't be charged of crimes too?

Ali Velshi is subbing for Lawrence O'Donnell tonight and is covering this now on MSNBC.

Here is a good list to start with...

Hey Washington, get a vax and a joint.

Still anxious about getting the COVID-19 vaccine? Washington state is offering adults a relaxing new incentive — marijuana joints.

The program, launched by the state's Liquor and Cannabis Board and named "Joints for Jabs," runs until July 12 and allows state-licensed dispensaries to give qualifying customers one pre-rolled joint at an in-store vaccination clinic.

Eligible participants must be 21 years old or older and have to have received their first or second dose during that visit.

This is only the latest among Washington's abundant vaccination incentives, which include free tickets to sports events and a lottery totaling up to $1 million. Just a few weeks ago, the Liquor and Cannabis Board announced an incentive that allows breweries, wineries, and restaurants to offer free drinks to vaccinated adults.

Masks are still required indoors after June 15th reopening

California workers will still need to wear masks and practice social distancing at workplaces for at least a couple of weeks after Gov. Gavin Newsom’s June 15 target to fully reopen the state’s economy.

A California state board on Wednesday withdrew proposed updates to its COVID workplace safety rule, meaning the current regulation — which requires masks to be worn at all times indoors, as well as outdoors if less than six feet away from others — will stay in effect for now.

The proposed updates had called for relaxing masking and social distancing requirements and letting workers not wear masks indoors if everyone else around them is fully vaccinated. The standards board of the state’s Division of Occupational Safety and Health, commonly called Cal-OSHA, will consider updating its rule again on June 17 to better align with the state and federal guidance. Any update to the rule, if voted on by the board, will go into effect around June 28.

Have you seen/heard the cicadas in your area?

I was wondering how loud they are and how numerous. I used to live in PA but don't remember the experience or if I even had any while there.

Olbermann vs Flynn

It must be Biden who calls for his arrest. Democracy must defend itself.
