Surely some of them must see the writing on the wall after last night's elections.
I'm convinced they care most about their political careers, gaining & maintaining power, above all else, so in the interest of self-preservation I'd think there would be at least some distancing, even in small ways. Small steps so as not to anger their Dear Leader too badly, but large enough so they can appear to be "not Trump."
It could be a challenging balance to strike, walking that tightrope, but it's a rope they embraced & walked out on, so welcome to the circus.

I've decided to build a massive "ballroom" at Mar-a-Lago.
"Ballroom" may be an exaggeration, it'll be more like a cesspool.
I plan to tear down the east wing, the west wing, & everything in between. Do I need approval? Permits? Permission? HA! Those are such quaint outdated concepts. We live in Trumpistan now, a land where anarchy reigns & the only rule is "do whatever you can get away with."
Trump reminds me of Aleister Crowley who famously said "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law." That seems to be his only rule.
Anyway, I'm ready to hire a massive track hoe to start tearing down Mar-a-Lago, I just need to raise the funds. No donation is too small my friends! Who's with me?!?!?!?
You know he's going to call it the Trump Ballroom.
No way in Hades will I ever call it that.
Maybe the Traitor's Ballroom, that's far more appropriate.

Sadly, this has become my new motto in life.
This resonates with me, hard, because my wife is a naturalized citizen, a dual citizen.
She got her US citizenship under Biden, but now she lives in fear every day. She's afraid to even leave the house by herself.
(And YES! I'm concerned about EVERYONE affected by Mango Mussolini! I'm just highlighting the effect it's had on me & my family.)
If you're not a naturalized citizen or emotionally close to one it may be difficult to understand. The thing is, the Trump ICE/Gestapo are grabbing people & taking them into custody for the most minor, or even nonexistent (made-up), things.
The whole situation makes my heart ache & bleed. I never thought I would live to see the day when I was at war with my own government... but here we are.

Y'all should know I don't make lengthy personal posts like this very often because my business keeps me so busy I just don't have time, but I've put all my customers on hold for a couple weeks so I can do things for myself. And this issue... this issue is weighing heavily on me because I love my wife immensely & she's living in fear of the Trump Regime every day.
