Chasstev365's JournalWould Trump ever resign due to his failing mental capacity?
You are probably thinking hell no, but would he do it to, yet again, escape responsible for his criminal actions?
I can hear the GOP saying, "You can proscute a man who suffers from dementia." "Shame in the Democrats for wanting to do so."
As a 60 year old retired teacher and father of a grown daughter, something with the Epstein still troubles me
Yesterday on DU someone posted a heart wrenching 30 minute interview with "Katie Johnson" from 2016. I.am in NO WAY BLAMING THE VICTIMS, so don't accuse me of it! I am just genuinely puzzled by the following:
How can a 13 year old fly in NYC alone and the parents were fine with it?
How could they not know where they were staying and whom they were with?
How could the 13 year come home and appear fine after being sexually abused?
How could a 13 year receive payment and the parents not know that they suddenly had $100's of dollars of her own money?
We raised our daughter to be savy about things and have what I call a BS detector. I always instilled in her what John Lennon sang in I'm Stepping Out": "If it don't feel right, Don't Do It."
I'm just struggling to understand this horrible exploitation. .
GOP Nefariousness in Texas
https://www.rawstory.com/jasmine-crockett-2674384668/I just don't think an African American woman can win in Texas and apparently neither does the Republican Party.
If I got to ask the 6 partisan, oligarch loving, traitors on the Supreme Court one question:
Your honors, and I use the term with more than a touch of irony, Donald Trump is an arsonist setting fire to every ideal of the Founding Fathers. You don't just keep giving him the matches; you keep giving him an unlimited supply of gasoline.
Do you any conscious about how your actions will destroy the once great beacon of democracy to the world or is your being a whore for Leo Leonard, The Federalist Society, and the oligarchs all you care about?
If the GOP dares to do this, we shut the country down with a general strike
https://www.rawstory.com/trump-midterms-2674378602/John Lennon was murdered 45 years ago today
Ironically, I never watched Monday Night Football, but did that night. However, I went to bed a half an hour before the announcement was made.
When I woke up, I put on GMA and David Hartman recaped what had happened and as they went to commercial break they played, "I read the news today oh boy; about a lucky man who made the grade. And though the news was rather sad."
Boom: It hit me like a ton of bricks.😞
With Lennon's murder and the Reagan administration coming in, this was the day that the spirit of the 1960's truly died.
Legeally Speaking, hasn't the Jan 6th Pipe Bomber already been pardoned?
"A full, complete and unconditional pardon to all other individuals convicted of offenses related to events that occurred at or near the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021."
I would boil the Boat Strikes down to this one point:
Since when is it OK to execute "Suspects?"
We have not seen any proof that any of these boats were smuggling drugs.
Reading a great new book by John U. Bacon: "The Gales of November: The Untold Story of the Edmund Fitzgerald. "
Why the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald has never been made in to a movie is beyond me, but if it ever is, it should be based on this book!
The human stories of the crew, the incredible storm on Lake Superior, the actions of the Edmund Fitzgerald contrasting with the actions of the Arthur Anderson that was following about 2O miles behind the Fitzgerald, and findings of the investigation.
It's long and detailed, but I highly recommend it as an escape from the current madness.
Between weekend golf trips to Mar a Lago, parties, and pointless lawsuits, how taxpayer money has Trump wasted?
If some could come up an accurate figure, this should a point to hammer Republicans in the 2026.
I can see a political campaign commercial showing the contrast between this pig and struggling Americans.
