Repubs have upped their game in the Ellsworth area

Also many smaller signs have sprouted since last weekend. Linnehan has loads of used car sales money to spend. Always had the oversize American flag flying at his lot, and is an evangelical. Pretty sure his boys were on the team against us when we played Temple Academy way back when.

Hubby and I got out to sketch recently, and he's had

time in the studio to work on learning pastels. Top one is his, and the line and wash are mine.

I posted to the Labor group, but I'm a new union member who just found out she's also

the new building rep. (Seriously, there only two of us in the group, and the other one has a second job.)
I'm supposed to get my negotiation training in late October, but the board sent me a letter of intent to negotiate in mid-September. I'm trying to get that moved.

If anyone has negotiating pointers, I'm all ears. I'm working on reaching out to the rest of the support staff to see if there are any concerns, or interest in joining the union, so if if you have any selling points, those would be great, too!

TIA!

So I joined the support staff union at school last year. Our building rep retired and

somehow I'm taking over. Not only that, but our contracts are up and the board wants to negotiate in September. My training isn't until late October. If anyone here has experience in being their union rep or a negotiator, I'm open to any pearls of wisdom you have.

TIA!

When you first started out as a young adult, when was it and what did things cost?

1993: Farmington, ME

first apartment: $350/mo (heat included)
Gas: I'll have to ask the family chauffeur
Groceries: don't have a number, but not $200/wk for two!

Of course, we made less. I think I got $50/day subbing. And my last summer job was $4.50/hr.

ElderGreenKid just got his first apt for $1500/mo. He's still paying off tens of thousands in student loans. As is family tradition, newest adult commandeers one of the family cars. Got our old Forrester.

Did the Repubs launch him out there to cut him loose?

We changed our ticket so they're showing us how wackadoodle he is so that they can change theirs?
