I will change to “Katinnc”. Moving back to NC! Long time coming after 19 1/2 years in FL. Moving back to NC where we spent 21 years. Time to move back to be near family. Kind of bittersweet to be honest, but all will be fine.
Why the hell are MCNBC and CNN still broadcasting his supposed "press conference"?
An hour in and he is doing the usual lies and word salad nonsense he always does. The only reason he is doing this is because he cannot stand the positive coverage Harris/Walz is getting. Get used to it, you idiot! I had to turn it off after 10 minutes.
Dammit! He is NOT the President!
I have MSNBC on and they all keep referring to him as “President”. He is NOT. Why can’t they refer to him as ‘trump”, “former president”, Mr. trump, Donald, whatever????? Just not President! I realize that former presidents, i.e. Obama, Clinton, Bush, Carter are frequently referred to as President XYZ, but he is not in the same class. Especially on his way to a 3rd indictment and bragging that a 4th one would assure him the nomination. This has been a pet peeve of mine for quite some time. He is a POS and should not be given the time of day, IMO.
I'm confused on Moderna 3rd shot
Made an online appointment at Publix (in FL) for the 3rd shot and we get there and are told that we need to be immunocomprised to get the shot. They had all the paperwork ready but we were told that unless we had one of several criteria met, we could not get it at this time because it had not been approved by the FDA or CDC at this time. My husband and myself are not immunocomprised (thankfully) but we are 74 years old and we thought we were OK based on our ages. We each got our 2nd dose in Feb. so we certainly met the timeline. We were told that authorization could come by Nov. 1 but they were not exactly sure. We feel that we should not have been able to go ahead and make an appointment. BTW, we could have lied and told the pharmacist that we were immunocomprised and be done with it, but we did not. Which brings up the question……..how would anyone know if you were comprised or not? Like I said, we meet the criteria by our ages. Very confusing and not very helpful when you are trying to convince the hold-outs to get their 1st shot. Any information would be appreciated. Did I mention…….I am in FL. Don’t know if that would have anything to do with it.
So here's my problem
I have made a new acquaintance in my community. She is outgoing and looking to make friends. She has joined water aerobics, stretch and tone, etc. We have a lot in common regarding our hometowns and upbringing. I would like to hang with her. Problem is that she and her husband are sporting ‘Ivanka 2024 “ stickers on their cars and I know that her husband in a Fox News viewer (also “The Five”). So I know where they are parked. My husband says no way can we connect with them and I agree. But I have a feeling that the time will come when she suggests we meet up for a drink, snacks, etc. I see her at the pool all the time and I feel it is just a matter of time before I am confronted. I hate it because I think I could like spending time with her but it is out of the question knowing they are repulsive. My husband says no way would he even consider it. Did I say we have so much in common because we all come from upstate NY? This is something we have never encountered in our over 50 year marriage. Sucks.
Can someone explain this to me?
The memo of the July 25 phone call is about 10 minutes of a 30 minute call. What about the rest of the call? Is there a recording of the whole call somewhere? In the clouds? Can it not be retrieved? I have watched, listened, read, etc. everything I can and no one addresses this. The call was put on a super secret server, password protected. There has to be a “hard copy” of it. I realize this impeachment is so much more than this one call but I would love if someone can enlighten me on this. We are talking about history here (i.e. Nixon’s 18 minute tape) and I cannot believe the whole call cannot be released. Of course, it will probably go to the SCOTUS like everything else. Any explanations will be appreciated.

The Squad
Will someone please explain to me how these 4 congresswomen came to be known as “The Squad”. I understand they are freshmen, they are progressive and they are not afraid to let it be known. But I hate the term “squad” and it sounds militant. It sounds degrading to me. Maybe it is just me.......
