Feeding the People of Gaza

The people of Gaza need to eat.
Israel is worried that Hamas will steal the food

Solution - Create individual meal kits (sorta like MREs) and run a massive airdrop similar to the Berlin Airlift from WW2.

This would get the food directly to the people bypassing Hamas, Israel could include a "Brought to you by Israel" message to help counter the Hamas messaging.

Egypt, Europe, and the US could provide aircraft and air defense.

The Republicans in the Florida House of Representatives added to their supermajority in that legislative body by winning 85 of the 120 seats in November.

But that wasn’t the final count. Because in the following weeks, the party picked up additional seats when two lawmakers who had just been returned to office as Democrats woke up one day and had an epiphany that they were really Republicans after all.

I guess you could say they were “blinded on the road to DeSantis.”

These two transitioning Republicans in the Florida House were incumbent Democrats who went through their conversions quietly in the days after they were re-elected.

Windows PowerPoint presentation to iPad help requested

I have a PowerPoint presentation done in Windows that I want to play in a loop on an iPad. I know how to save it as a .ppsx file but it play on the iPad. I tried saving it as a .mp4 - no luck there either.

Any ideas?

4th/5th Grade Math Advice Needed

I agreed to help a friend's 4th grader with math.
She is doing okay, her parents want to be in the advanced program.

Met with her teacher - he thinks she is where she should be.

Working on angles and number patterns now.
Any advice or interesting exercises?

I taught college for eight years and 20 years of teaching engineers and network folks - very different audience.

FBI gun background checks remained high in April during coronavirus pandemic

The FBI conducted nearly 3 million background checks associated with the sale, transfer or permitting of firearms in April, making it the fourth highest month for background checks since the bureau began keeping statistics in 1998, according to new data released by the agency.

Figures from April were down from the record-shattering spike of 3.7 million FBI background checks in March 2020, but still higher than checks done in the first two months of the year.
The states with the highest number of background checks conducted were Illinois, Kentucky, Texas, Florida and California.

Under US law, federally licensed gun dealers must run checks on every buyer, whether a purchase is made in a store or at a gun show. A buyer presents his or her identification to the seller, fills out a form from the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), which lists the buyer's age, address, race, and any criminal history and then the seller submits the information to the FBI for checks against databases in order to ensure a criminal record does not preclude the purchase.

California Supreme Court says law requiring presidential candidates to turn over tax returns is inva

If we can't get this done in CA, it doesn't look promising for the rest of the country.
Of course, I expected it to be upheld and Trump would simply ignore the state since he had no chance of winning it.

I really didn't expect a unanimous ruling on this.

Any ideas on how they can amend this to pass scrutiny?
