Putting Roger Stone aside
The Meece/Ashcroft/Barr Justice Department policy of requiring federal prosecutors to always seek the harshest possible sentence is a truly terrible policy. President Obama's Justice Department abandoned it, but Sessions and Barr brought it right back. I hope this case gets Barr disbarred (it won't, but it should), but I also hope it brings attention to one of the many twisted aspects of our criminal justice system.
