Blown Up & Burned Down South Carolina Beach Home

Best That All Remember Our South Carolina History.

Around 2:30 a.m. on June 2, the Federal Union Military Ships John Adams and the Harriet A. Weed split up along the river to conduct different raids. Harriet Tubman led 150 men on the John Adams toward the fugitives. Tubman, later commenting on the raid, said once the signal was given, she saw slaves running everywhere, with women carrying babies, crying children, squealing pigs, chickens and pots of rice. Confederate soldiers tried chasing down the slaves, firing their guns on them. One girl was reportedly killed.

As the escapees ran to the shore, Black troops in rowboats transported them to the ships, but chaos ensued in the process. Tubman, who didn’t speak the region’s Gullah dialect, reportedly went on deck and sang a popular song from the abolitionist movement that calmed the group down.

More than 700 escaped slavery and made it onto the gunboats. Troops also disembarked near Field’s Point, torching plantations, fields, mills, warehouses and mansions, causing a humiliating defeat for the Confederacy, including the loss of a pontoon bridge shot to pieces by the gunboats.

The ships docked in Beaufort, where a reporter from heard what had happened on the Combahee River.

He wrote a story without a byline about the “She-Moses” but never mentioned Tubman’s name. He wrote that Montgomery’s “gallant band of 300 soldiers under the guidance of a Black woman, dashed into the enemies’ country, struck a bold and effective blow, destroying millions of dollars worth of commissary store, cotton and lordly dwellings, and striking terror to the heart of the rebeldom brought off bear 800 slaves and thousands of dollars worth of property, without losing a man or receiving a scratch.”

El Salvador Needs The Rent Money & Is Willing To Lock-up USA Deported Migrants & "Criminals"

El Salvador has offered to take in criminals deported from the US, including those with US citizenship, and house them in its mega-jail.
The deal was announced after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met Salvadorean President Nayib Bukele during his visit to the Central American nation.
Bukele - whose iron-fist approach to gangs has won him plaudits from voters but been heavily criticized by human rights groups - said he had offered the US "the opportunity to outsource part of its prison system".
Rubio said the US was "profoundly grateful" to Bukele, adding that "no country's ever made an offer of friendship such as this".
$$$ 🇸🇻 🇺🇸 = $$$
Rubio told reporters: "He has offered to house in his jails dangerous American criminals in custody in our country, including those with US citizenship and legal residency."
Referring to two of the region's most notorious transnational crime gangs, Rubio added that El Salvador would also take in deported migrants and "criminals from any nationality, be the MS-13 or Tren de Aragua".
Bukele later confirmed the offer on X, specifying that "we are willing to take in only convicted criminals (including convicted US citizens) into our mega-prison (CECOT) in exchange for a fee".
He added that "the fee would be relatively low for the US but significant for us, making our entire prison sustainable".

Trump Treasury Pick Listed His Home for Sale Prior to Election

DJT’s choice for Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent made a bold forecast when he and his husband put their iconic New Orleans pink mansion on the market eight days BEFORE the election.
Trump transition team spokesman Raj Shah declined to answer questions about the TIMING of the listing of Bessent’s house—one week before Election Day—or the family’s plans to move to Washington.
“Scott will support my Policies that will drive U.S. Competitiveness, and stop unfair Trade imbalances,” Trump wrote of his pro-tariff Treasury nominee.
A trusted adviser to Trump on economic policy, Bessent donated approximately $3 million to the president-elect and other Republican causes during the 2024 election cycle.
“I was all in for President Trump. I was one of the few Wall Street people backing him,” Bessent said in a recent interview.

Take Note!
16 Democratic senators recently voted to confirm the Trump-appointed Treasury Secretary who just gave Musk’s team access to a Treasury payment system that disburses trillions and holds mass quantities of personal information.
Food for thought. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

Senator Paul Wellstone Legacy

Shortly before he died in a plane crash on October 25, 2002, Paul Wellstone explained why he was in the Senate: “I don’t represent the big oil companies, the big pharmaceuticals or the big insurance industry. They already have great representation in Washington. It’s the rest of the people that need representation.”

Paul was a happy warrior. He would say, ‘You have to do this job with a twinkle in your eye.’ He often made fun of himself. He used humor quite effectively. He built majorities because of those qualities that went beyond his political positions.

“At this sacred moment, we turn our thoughts to our loved ones who have now gone from life. We recall the joy of their companionship, we feel the pain of our loss. We know the tears that have filled our eyes. But we also know that our dear ones will never truly leave us as long as they are in our hearts and in our thoughts. By love are they remembered, and in memory, they live.”
