Upthevibe
Upthevibe's JournalI'd love some feedback on Kindles and Nooks......
The print is just too small in books. I enjoy reading online because it's not a struggle. Yes, I have reading classes and I even need them even for online reading.
It seems like the reviews for Barnes & Noble's Nooks are mixed. Does anyone have a Kindle or a Nook? If so, I'd be appreciative hearing your experiences.
Favorite "Cult" movie?
Right now (I change my opinion often) I'm going with, The Big Lebowski!
How about you?
The Ltd. series, Murdaugh: Death
in The Family is OUTSTANDING....
I'm also watching The Official Podcast with the real reporter, Mandy (? on her last name). She's having conversations with the various actors.
This is the lady who is probably responsible for the truth coming out. I've been keeping track of this case for a couple of years. It's an excellent character study. The story of what happened is horrible...
I'm looking for ideas regarding what I can do.......
to thank the five people who orchestrated my 50th year high school reunion.
It was this past weekend and they did an absolutely AMAZING job! I'm not artistic so I can't really make them anything. They live in three different cities. I want to do something VERY special.
Thanks!
I'm listening to President Obama
On Marc Maron's last podcast of WTF. It aired this past Monday, 10/13.
I'm SO comforted just listening to him.
The IHIW ladies are moving and have moved to New York...
The Guardian, Oct 5, 2025:
"Jennifer Welch of the I've Had It' podcast has moved to New York. A recent profile from The Guardian confirmed the move, noting that she is renting an apartment in the city starting in October 2025. Welch is fulfilling a 'lifelong dream' and felt like an outsider as a progressive and an atheist in her former home of Oklahoma. Her podcast co-host, Angie 'Pumps' Sullivan, is also planning to move to New York later in the year. The podcast, I've Had It will continue to be produced and released. Welch intends to give the New York 'experiment' one year to see if it is a good fit."
I love this for them (This is the way the kids - teenagers with whom I work - phrase things...
).
This seems to be a big deal for them because of their clients. Jennifer is an interior decorator and Angie is an attorney. I could see Angie being able to continue her practice remotely but it seems like being an interior designer would be more of a challenge.
Having said that, it seems like their show is doing very well and hopefully they're okay financially.
I'm thinking maybe Stephen Colbert could.........
start doing The Colbert Report again! He'd certainly have a lot of material...........
Are you guys going to resubscribe to
Hulu/Disney (For those of you who had it and cancelled your subscription like I did)?
I'd like to show my acknowledgment that they listened to "we the people." Obviously, I'm outraged that it happened in the first place. Having said that, I guess I'd like to affirm that I'm very pleased they reinstated Jimmy's show...
Thoughts?
Rachel Maddow.....
A reminder: Kamala Harris is on Rachel Maddow's show tonight......
