Haley: "He (Trump) can't beat Joe Biden if he's spending all his time and money on court cases and chaos."

Nikki Haley took another swing at Donald Trump over his legal woes Tuesday evening, after the New York Times reported that political committees aligned with the former president spent roughly $50 million to cover his legal bills last year.

“Another reason Donald Trump won’t debate me… His PAC spent 50 MILLION in campaign dollars on his legal fees,” Haley posted on X (formerly Twitter). “He can’t beat Joe Biden if he’s spending all his time and money on court cases and chaos.”

She is still in this and throwing some good punches. She could very well win in SC. Then who knows what could happen from there.

US Consumer Confidence Climbs to Highest Since End of 2021.. This is BFD!

(Bloomberg) -- US consumer confidence increased in January to the highest level since the end of 2021 as Americans grew more upbeat about the economy and the job market amid more sanguine views about inflation.

The Conference Board’s gauge of sentiment increased to 114.8 from a revised 108 a month earlier, data published Tuesday showed. The January figure matched the median estimate in a Bloomberg survey.

A gauge of current conditions surged to the highest since March 2020. The measure of expectations rose to a six-month high. Consumers expected the inflation rate to average 5.2% in the next 12 months, the lowest level since March 2020.

If this keeps up Joe will win. Its still the economy stupid!

WH press secretary "shook it off" when asked about a possible President Biden-Taylor Swift campaign appearance.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre shook off a question Monday about a potential President Biden-Taylor Swift duet to boost the Democrat’s 2024 campaign — citing federal law to do so.

“Let me first say, I’ve got to be really mindful — I’m a federal employee,” Jean-Pierre laughingly told CNN’s John Berman in response to rumors the 81-year-old could make an appearance at one of the pop icon’s upcoming “Eras Tour” dates.

“As you know, there’s something called the Hatch Act, so I certainly can not speak to anything that is related to 2024 in the upcoming election,” Jean-Pierre added — notably not denying the whispers.

“Obviously, there are a lot of, in my shop, in the press office shop, there are a lot of Swifties, if you will, fans of Taylor Swift,” she went on. “I’m just going to leave it there. I’m not going to get into the president’s schedule at all from here, as it relates to the 2024 elections.”

Sounds like its going to happen.

[sorry for this coming from the NY Post but I could not find it anywhere else]

How about we coordinate an "Operation Chaos" vote for Haley to defeat Trump in SC.

South Carolina does not have party registration, so its primaries are "open:" Registered voters are free to participate in the Republican contest, as long as they skip the Democratic primary, and vice versa.

What do you all think?

January 26, 2024

I have a feeling Haley is going to win in South Carolina.

Based on her strong showing in NH and now with this latest court case going against Trump. Trump is freaking out. Clearly he knows SC is a big deal and could be the turning point in the GOP primary.

January 25, 2024

I get the feeling that Trump's appeal is slowly but surely in decline.

His nasty outrageous comments and persistent legal issues are chipping away at his support. He will probably win the GOP nomination but by Nov his negatives are going to be huge. All Biden needs to do is stay the course.
