Rupert Murdoch, FOX News, nor Donald Trump have a right to the documents at MAL.

Those documents belong to the American people. They belong to you and I.

It is the law.

Either you follow the law or you break the law. There is no middle ground on this issue.

He was told to turn the documents over and he refused. The FBI had no choice but to go into his basement and seize "our" documents.

That is basically the story.

The FBI called the Secret Service at Mar-a-Lago hours ahead of the search warrant...

...and Trump's lawyers were there to oversee the search?

Is that true?

I saw that reported on one of the morning shows but I cannot recall which show?

So Trump knew about the "raid" before it happened?

Did they have time to remove or get rid of any of the evidence before the search?

Is that common procedure by the FBI to notify the target ahead of time?

Also, it was reported that the DOJ lawyers went to Mar-a-Lago in June to negotiate the release of the documents and have had no success. And this left them no choice but to execute the search warrant?

So, it appears there were documents there and the FBI went in and confiscated them?

Is the search warrant tonight the precursor to the indictment that's coming very soon?

The removal of classified documents from the White House is a very serious crime. Trump knew it was serious when he did it. The DOJ has this ace in the hole whenever they decide to indict Trump for his role in the January 6th insurrection and the electoral fraud in several states.

It is possible they did the search warrant today because they are getting very close to indicting Donald Trump. The stealing of classified documents is a lock for a conviction in this situation.

The search warrant today was just the first step in the case against Donald J Trump. Still to come are the charges of electoral fraud, obstructing an official government proceeding, inciting an insurrection, and conspiracy to defraud the United States.

The charges against Trump and his criminal cabal are being turned over stone by stone. In my opinion, the indictment will be coming soon.

What are Republican leaders saying?

Surely it's no time for crickets?

Surely they are not going to wait to see what happens before they defend him?

After all, they know he would never do anything criminal.

But, if the story is true, and there is no reason to believe it is not, it is probably something the FBI was required to do? After all, they recovered 15 boxes of classified materials from Mar-a- Lago a few months ago. It would have been the height of neglect and irresponsibility to take his word for it that there were no more documents there. They had to search to see if there were more.

Also, Trump offered no resistance to taking the boxes at the time. He willingly offered them up. It was a very laissez-faire moment. Go ahead. Take them, he offered.

But were there documents that may have been missed? The only way to know for sure was to get a search warrant and search the entire premises. In my opinion, that is a likely scenario of what happened. But, no one in the media knows for sure what they may have been looking for?

With all the canceled airline flights....?

...Is there any way to measure if there is a drop in air pollution or CO2 levels, etc?

In my opinion, any fight to save our environment and to correct the dangerous direction of climate change, must begin with controlling the pollution created by these stream polluters in the sky. Private jets should be outlawed. Otherwise, the fight to save our environment is just a charade, in my opinion.

It would be interesting to see a comparative study from the statistics when a large number of flights are canceled.

The "Big Lie" Party

The Republican Party has officially adopted the "Big Lie" as their official platform.

At their annual CPAC convention in Dallas, TX this weekend, with guest speakers Viktor Orban and Donald Trump, they pulled no stops in letting it be known that they believed the last election was stolen from them. Donald Trump had persuaded them totally.

They mocked the criminal attack upon our Capitol with a 'WE ARE ALL DOMESTIC TERRORISTS" chyron across the top of their stage for all the world to see. Not only did it show that they believed the mob that attacked our Capitol was justified, they wanted everyone to know that they agreed with it.

To further prove their point, they had a makeshift jail cell, with a MAGA prisoner inside, taking live phone calls from actual insurrectionists that were still in jail. They were donating money and saying loud prayers in public, just like the Bible tells them to do. One Congressperson, Marjorie Taylor Green of Georgia, went into the cell with the "fake" prisoner to commiserate and to comfort him.

The one-time leading group for conservatives in the USA had gone all-in for the "Big Lie". They preached that the election of 2020 was rigged and stolen from their chosen Leader. They would have it no other way.

They have no facts or evidence but they have their conspiracy theories. They have their "Big Lie" and they are going to ride it to the dead end.

Is Mark Meadows cooperating with the DOJ ?

We haven't heard much from Mr Meadows in the last few weeks?

We did read that Trump's closest advisers told him that he should not be associating with Mr Meadows. How should we read that?

A corollary to the Meadows story is that Trump's lawyers are now negotiating with the DOJ. And that they are negotiating over the claim of "executive privilege"?

If one were to put all these stories together, one might assume that the "executive privilege" claim is about Mark Meadows and what he might be telling the prosecutors of the DOJ?

Also, another story that has been making the rounds is that Trump expects to be "indicted".

Could it be that there is a big story that is getting ready to fall?

In re: DOJ Investigation ?

Is there a bigger story than January 6th, electoral fraud, and seditious conspiracy, that they are investigating? What could be bigger?

Some folks have suspected that the Trump crime family has been involved in international money laundering for a long time. Is the FBI investigating other crimes that are not on the radar at the present time? Have they been waiting to gather evidence on the big bust?

Few doubt that there were crimes committed before Donald Trump stole the White House. Was there espionage? Was he working with Russia and Putin? Was he a Russian agent? Nothing sounds too bizarre with this bunch of criminals.

Could it be that the FBI is looking at a much bigger picture than the one we have been discussing?

Or is the truth more than the American people can handle?

Do Republicans compete with each other to see who can tell the biggest lie?

Especially if they can be seen as "owning the libs"?

Sometimes I think that is the case.

I see Rick Scott at CPAC and he is totally off the rails. Even Republicans don't believe him. Then Marco Rubio is talking about taking off some tax cut that would make millionaires pay more, as if he is actually against such a deal?

And when they go on FOX, all rules are out the window. They can lie to their hearts content. And they usually do.

Have they always been this way? Or is it a more recent phenomena?

"Here, hold my beer!", says the next one in line.
