Just got the messages from our daughter’s school.


All virtual classes will continue as schedule tomorrow.
Facilities are closed. All staff and students in in-person classes will switch to virtual tomorrow.

Bummer.

Here’s the really sad part, since the facilities are closed there are no food pickups and daycare will be determined by school. Our county has been offering day care since summer of last year. It’s amazing how many kids really do depend on food from schools. Parents who have to work may have lost daycare for at least tomorrow. I think everything will be back open on Tuesday.

CrossFit is a fitness regimen famous for inspiring intense devotion; when the former gym owner, Jim Chambers, first met Greene, he got the sense that it “had kind of taken her life over,” he told me. “She had a lot of time and a lot of money,” he said, and also a vague ambition, as he saw it, “to run a gym.” When, eight years later, it looked like she might be headed to Congress, Chambers got on social media and told the world that, back when he knew Greene, she was having “multiple, blatant extramarital affairs in front of all of us.” He added, “I don’t even judge that, until you say the kind of shit she does and claim the Jesus about it.” (Greene, who was baptized at an evangelical church in a suburb just north of Atlanta, in 2011, and speaks frequently about being Christian, has said that she wants to bring “my faith and my family values to Washington.”)

I spoke to one of the men with whom Greene allegedly had an affair. He asked not to be named and told me that he, too, was bothered by Greene’s hypocrisy. He provided me with a screenshot of a text exchange in which Greene acknowledged sleeping with him. “She never talked about politics,” he said. He told me he later learned that she was also sleeping with another man who was not her husband, “while the whole time being ‘super Christian.’ ” He added, “She’s not the pro-family, pro-Christian, strong-business woman she touts herself to be.”

BTW - training for Green Jobs is "condescending" Fox this morning

So as Morning Joe was going on and on about Congressperson QAnon I flipped over to Fox.

The Keystone pipeline shutting down is really big shakes there. 11,000 jobs which I think became 12,000 while I was watching. The non-Douchey host said it was condescending to tell adults what they can learn.

Cut to segment in a diner in Knoxville. Not a mask in sight other than the staff. They asked the reporter about retraining for solar panels. He goes down the breakfast counter to a guy who he talked to earlier. This guy was working in “oil and gas” but moved to Tennessee 9 months ago to work at a nuclear reactor. They asked him about being retrained “I’m 50 years old. What are THEY going to teach me?”

Cut the Sen. Cotton saying that the retraining for great jobs “couldn’t be more condescending”.

So. There ya go. They convinced the their followers not to wear masks in a pandemic so not taking advantage of job training shouldn’t be too hard at all.
