Is there anything on earth that is uglier than WILLFUL ignorance?

Anti-vaxxers; climate change deniers; anyone who STILL believes Trump is a human being---these are just a few examples.

And, now, we can add those who say Covid 19 is "just like the flu---no big deal; a Democratic hoax". Bluntly, these people may kill a lot of us seniors.

Why aren't all TV stations displaying a running count of "tests, confirmed cases and deaths"

from coronavirus at the bottom corner of the screen? They have "countdown clocks" and "promos" for all sorts of relatively meaningless fluff. Why not put the terrible Trump-incriminating FACTS under the noses of their viewers?

This is a medical emergency, not a financial glitch. It's about time we stop worrying about inconveniencing or angering big money interests and rub people's noses in the horror we are about to experience.

That we are considering spending billions of dollars to aid the "cruise industry" while failing to provide paid sick leave to employees who may be infected is OBSCENE!

I know Trump is known for his snorting and sniffing, but did anyone else think he seemed

to be "having trouble breathing" tonight?

Really? 3 1/2 years into this Trump shit show and I am STILL hearing talking heads

on my TV machine discuss whether or not Trump will "pivot" tonight and deliver a reasoned and reassuring speech outlining a course of action based on science.

Are there really people who get paid for expressing their opinions who are still waiting for the pus-bag in the Oval Office to "act presidential"?

Some people actually survive into their seventies without ever learning one of the

most important lessons of childhood: "It's not all about you, you, you!"

Trump's coronavirus response would have to be a lot better to rate as merely a

"clusterfuck" AND YET---we have to worry that the maniac might be re-elected? That we, as a people, have allowed so many of these "Deplorables" to fester in our midst may prove to be our ultimate downfall.

If anyone ever doubted that racism, misogyny, and arrogant intolerance need to be STEPPED ON IN REAL TIME, the rise of the Tea Party and Trumpism should finally resolve the issue.

And here I thought that "I alone can fix it!" was discredited as a campaign philosophy! nt

Two very simple and direct questions for the goddam "task force":

1.) If someone starts feeling sick and suspects coronavirus infection, what EXACTLY should they do?

2.) Why in hell don't we have "drive thru testing"---where people get swabbed IN THEIR CARS--- like other countries?

The answer to #1 should be repeated each time you go on TV to tell us how lucky we are that we have Trump.

All of the talk from Pence's task force has been about how many "test kits" have been or

soon will be distributed. Do we all understand that even IF you meet the screening criteria and IF your doctor orders that you be tested for Covid 19 and IF a test kit REALLY is available and is administered, you will still not know if you are infected until the swabs just taken from you are properly evaluated by an approved lab? These kits are not like home pregnancy tests where the swab changes color or displays a plus or minus sign. The kits COLLECT specimens; labs ANALYZE the specimens and tell us the result.

And, it is my understanding that, at present, we do not have sufficient lab capacity to evaluate the administered kits in a timely manner. If this is not remedied like NOW,we will soon have a growing backlog of used test kits. Aside from the personal urgency for the people holding their breath until they get the results, does anyone know if there is a window of time after which the results are not accurate?

(Just as a "throw in", 128 Italians died of Covid 19 IN THE PAST 24 HOURS. The experts estimate that we are about 10 days or so behind Italy in the progression of this disease.

Wash your hands every time you turn around. Don't shake hands. Avoid greeting even family members with hugs and kisses. Do not travel unless absolutely necessary and, if possible, stay home.)
