TX sheriff's lieutenant who called the 1/6 riot one of the best days of her life has been fired

An arbitrator upheld the Bexar County Sheriff's decision to fire Lt. Roxanne Mathai.

Mathai posted photos to Facebook that showed her outside the Capitol on January 6. She has not been charged.

Bexar County Sheriff's Office lieutenant Lt. Roxanne Mathai, 47, was placed on administrative leave in January after she posted multiple photos to Facebook near the US Capitol on January 6, KSAT reported.

Sheriff Javier Salazar officially fired Mathai in June, but she appealed his decision, according to KSAT. When the case was brought before an arbitrator, she argued that she was present for a historic event and was wrongfully terminated.

Since Mathai said she didn't enter the Capitol, she also argued that she was not involved in the siege, local CBS affiliate KENS5 reported.

Salazar called her defense "ridiculous" in an interview with KSAT on Monday.

"It's not like you're standing there for the signing of the Declaration of Independence. That's a historic event," Salazar said. "You're there when fellow Americans lost their lives. That's nothing to be proud of."

The arbitrator ultimately sided with Salazar and upheld Mathai's firing from her post, according to KSAT.

"Not gonna lie.....aside from my kids, this was, indeed, the best day of my life. And it's not over yet," Mathai wrote in a separate Facebook post, according to news reports.

Mathai told KENS in June that she does not regret going to the Capitol that day, but regrets "the events that happened — the events that I had no participation in — I do regret that those things happened."

CA man arrested for death threats at Matt Gaetz.

Authorities say Eugene Huelsman threatened Rep. Matt Gaetz in a voicemail on January 9.

Eugene Huelsman, 58, was arrested last week in connection with a threat that was made against Florida GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz.

The indictment against Huelsman charges him with one count of threatening Gaetz over the phone on Jan. 9, three days after rioters stormed the US Capitol. The charge carries a potential fine and up to five years in prison.

"Tell [M.G.] to watch his back, tell him to watch his children... I'm coming for him, he's gonna f-ck-ng die... I'm gonna f-ck-ng kill him... Watch your back, I'm coming for you. I'm gonna put a bullet in you and I'm gonna put a bullet in one of your f-ck-ng kids too," Huelsman said in a voicemail, according to court documents.

Huelsman was indicted on May 18 by a federal grand jury in Pensacola, Florida. However, his whereabouts at the time were unknown and the indictment was sealed.

LA cop fired after having sex in squad car with open mike at Bates Motel set.

A Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy who was caught having sex near the Bates Motel at Universal Studios while on duty was reportedly fired this week.

The deputy first made headlines last December when a minute-long recording of the encounter was published on TMZ.

In the clip, a woman is heard giggling and saying: 'Oh. Oh, my goodness!'

A female dispatcher tries to alert the deputy of his 'open mic' as the woman's sex sounds continue.

'95 Ocean, you have an open mic,' the dispatcher states. '95 Ocean, you have an open mic — take care of mic.'

The message goes unanswered as the cop's companion continues to moan. The woman's wails get louder and louder, before the clip cuts out.

The deputy, who has not been identified, accidentally left his microphone on while he and a woman shared an 'x-rated encounter' in his squad car.

The sexual encounter occurred while the theme park was closed amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The cop was 'immediately relieved of duty' following the incident and an investigation was opened.

The LA County Sheriff's Office did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com's request for comment.

Organizers seek to change Lee County, Florida, to Bruce Lee County

A new petition is hoping to change the narrative behind the county, dropping Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee in favor of the iconic martial artist.

A new Change.org petition is seeking to rebrand Lee County in southwest Florida to Bruce Lee County.

In an effort to “eradicate” racism in both Florida and across the country, a local arts organization is calling for the rebrand instead of a complete name change to minimize the costs, while still changing the narrative behind the county’s namesake.

“I’m not a fan of living in Robert E. Lee County. It doesn’t make me proud,” said Brian Weaver, owner of the Florida-based organization Artsemble Underground, which started the petition last month.

In the petition, the group of artists said they chose Bruce Lee, to replace Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee, as the county namesake because of his impact as a leading actor, martial artist and pop culture icon of his time.

“He is credited with helping to change the way Asians were presented in American films,” the petition reads. “We are not trying to change our past, we are trying to improve our future, and what better way than [to] use an inspiring, positive influential figure as our namesake.”

Lee County was originally named in 1887 at the behest of prominent Fort Myers citizens and Confederate Capt. Francis Hendry. Hendry was a fan of the controversial general, who, over time, was transformed into a pillar of the South, despite being responsible for hundreds of thousands of American deaths during the Civil War. And at one point, Robert Lee’s family owned hundreds of enslaved people.

Another wacko RW candidate making empty threats.

This clown, a retired navy guy, finished dead ass last in his own party’s 2020 primary so I guess he has to make some noise to be seen as still relevant.
