Top 10 Conservative Idiots #2-15: Nothing Burger With A Side Of Treason Edition

Top 10 Conservative Idiots #2-15: Nothing Burger With A Side Of Treason Edition

Welcome back to the Top 10 Conservative Idiots! Now available in single packs! So we got to talk about this Arian Foster nonsense. If you are unaware of who he is, he's the former runningback for the Houston Texans. This week, he went on a long Twitter tirade where he pondered if he could fight a wolf. Yes, he actually wondered this outloud. Not only that, spent 4 hours pondering this very subject, which sparked a debate in the NFL community. I mean he's certainly a big enough guy that he could definitely take one, and even Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said he could "definitely" take one! But the funny part about this is once again, fact checkers were able to disprove Mr. Foster's theory. Because they proved that there's no way in hell that Mr. Foster could fight a wolf! First of all, I didn't know wolf fighting was a thing, and second, I didn't know that there was an International Wolf Center. This is a crazy story, and has certainly made for some interesting debate. Enough of the intro. We have a lot of idiocy to get to this week. But first we have to play Stephen Colbert taking to his famous chalkboard to expose the Trump / Putin connection and it’s unbelievably awesome:

So where do we begin this week? This might be our longest edition ever, so bare with us. There’s going to be a lot of really dark shit in this edition. And I do mean really dark. Well the number one slot has been, like Donald Trump’s White House, a revolving door. So the number one slot is going to go to Jeff Sessions (1) who may have committed felony perjury charges while under oath to the Senate. Meanwhile, when the GOP was trashing Hillary Clinton over her use of a private e-mail server, would it surprise you at all to learn that Mike Pence (2) had used one when he was governor of Indiana? No? And he got hacked! Ha ha ha ha!!! Silly republicans, leave cyber security to the professionals! In the number 3 slot, I was originally going to save this story for next week but it’s way too big to ignore. Like that mole on your back, or a guy wearing a pink tutu and a tin foil hat carrying a monkey on a leash. Taking the number 3 slot is Jason Chaffetz (3), and he’s got a jaw-dropping, shockingly stupid reason why you should have to pay for healthcare. Taking slots #4, 5, and 6 is of course Donald J. Trump. In slot #4 , we were originally going to save this for next week but it’s too big to Trump went there – he has done something no other president to date has done – accuse a former president of wiretapping his phones.. At number 5, we’re going to talk about Trump V. Schwarzenegger Round 2! So Ahnuld quit Celebrity Apprentice, and are we not shocked at all that Trump tweeted back at him? But Ahnuld’s one-two punch is hilarious. In slot number 6, we’re going to talk about Trump’s New Deal… for his hotels! At slot number 7, is Roger Stone (7). Would you be surprised to learn at all that the author of “Clinton’s War On Women” went on a sexist tirade last weekend? At number 8 – we’ve got another installment of “People Who Somehow Got Elected”, and this time we’re going to introduce you to Mark Chelgren (8), a state senator from Iowa who hates education so much, he lied about where he got his degree from! At number 9 (NEIN!!!) we’re going to take another look at the Trump Effect (9) because there has been a sharp increase in it the last couple of weeks. Yet another Jewish cemetery was desecrated, and another Jewish daycare center threatened with a bomb, and Trump is blaming us for it! Argh! Finally this week we’re taking in another round of our Stupidest State contest. This time, we’re returning to the Family Values Conference, where Alabama is eagerly awaiting their opponent – will it be scrappy underdog Tennessee or will it be juggernaut North Carolina? Plus to finish things off, we have some more live music for you, time from a little band called Deftones. Yayyyyyyy!!!! Oh the kids love Deftones don’t they? Their album “Gore” is a favorite around the Top 10 home office and one of the best of last year, and they will be stopping by to play something from it. Enjoy! And as always don’t forget the key!

Jeff Sessions

WTF, America? I mean seriously WTF? Before we get into the clusterfuck that is Jeff Sessions, I have to play SNL’s amazing opening sketch from this week, where the awesome Kate McKinnon played him brilliantly with the intro to Forrest Gump:

That was great. What Jeff Sessions did, however, was not great.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions told reporters at a press conference Thursday that as a senator, he met with many ambassadors to various countries in an official capacity. However, a Wall Street Journal report revealed that Sessions used campaign money to fund his trip to the Republican National Convention, where he then met in an official capacity, with the Russian envoy.

Similarly, Sessions made political statements about Donald Trump’s presidential campaign while at a Heritage Foundation event during the GOP convention in July. He then met with Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak.

http://www.rawstory.com/2017/03/jeff-sessions-used-campaign-cash-for-rnc-trip-where-he-met-russian-ambassador-for-official-reasons-wsj/

And Ted Cruz certainly didn’t help things when he tried to justify this as a “nothing burger”. What kind of restaurant serves a “nothing burger”?

Yes. I think it -- that was unfortunate. But I think context matters a lot. Jeff was being asked about the Trump campaign communicating with the Russians. I think he understood that he was answering in that capacity. And that is perfectly understandable.

And the reason I say it's political theater is the underlying meeting, you know, this morning, everyone is in high dungeon about the meeting. The underlying meeting is a nothing burger. It's what senators do every day, meeting with foreign ambassadors; that's part of the job.

And Jeff is a -- was a very hard-working senator; he will be a hard-working attorney general. And so I think everyone is getting all worked up because it's a chance to beat up the attorney general and beat up the president. But I think the underlying meeting is simply doing his job...

And, by the way, Jeff has been a serious critic of Russia. He's not been shy calling out Putin. So the notion that there was something somehow wrong with a senior senator on the Armed Services Committee meeting with a foreign ambassador, I think that's a nothing burger.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2017/03/02/ted_cruz_sessions_meeting_with_russian_ambassador_a_nothing_burger.html

https://www.semiwiki.com/forum/attachments/content/attachments/15059d1439569660-nothing-burger-jpg

I’d like to see that order. “Yeah I’ll have a Nothing Burger with a side of treason, hold the mayo!”. But Trump didn’t help things either when he went after his staff for Sessions’ colossal fuck up:

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/donald-trump-jeff-sessions-recusal-anger-frustration-ballistic-rant-a7612146.html

President Donald Trump reportedly went into a "ballistic" rant against his senior staff over Attorney General Jeff Sessions stepping aside from investigations into Russia's interference in the presidential election.

He called his inner circle to the Oval Office at the end of last week to talk about this week's schedule, but the meeting became heated when the topic turned to Mr Sessions.

Sources told CNN Mr Trump used "a lot of expletives" and "nobody has seen him that upset".

I like that one! But then Sessions held a press conference that certainly raised more questions than it answered:

Attorney General Jeff Sessions just announced that he will recuse himself from any investigations involving the Trump campaign — a response to the heat he's taken after it was revealed that he failed to disclose contacts with Russia's ambassador last year.

The move is clearly intended to stanch the bleeding. But in the course of making his announcement, Sessions didn't do himself too many favors.

In his initial statement, Sessions maintained that he had done nothing wrong. He said that his response at his confirmation hearing to Sen. Al Franken's (D-Minn.) question about contacts with Russia “was honest and correct as I understood it at the time.” But he also said that he would nonetheless update the record to clear things up, and he conceded at the end of the news conference: “In retrospect, I should've slowed down and said I did meet with one Russian official a couple times — that would be the ambassador.”
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2017/03/02/jeff-sessionss-puzzling-press-conference/?utm_term=.8661723009ea&wpisrc=nl_headlines&wpmm=1

And then Trump reduced Sessions from meeting with ambassadors to being a greeter at a fundraiser, much in the same way that someone would be a greeter at Wal*Mart or Costco:

Embattled Attorney General Jeff Sessions took a few moments from high-level meetings at President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club to greet guests at the estate tonight.

The Bascom Palmer Eye Institute is having its Evening of Vision Gala at Mar-a-Lago tonight — and it just so happens the president is in town for the weekend.

The White House said Sessions was scheduled to meet with Trump earlier Saturday evening, and is having dinner with the president and other aides — including Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly and White House counsel Don McGahn.

Sessions’ trip to Palm Beach comes in the wake of the attorney general’s recusal of his involvement in any investigations into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/local/new-jeff-sessions-greets-guests-trump-mar-lago-club/xFRbgrtFYNamso8FXmO6PN/

But the killer is that Sessions released a statement that didn’t help their case at all:

The problem with Sessions denial is that it contradicts itself. Attorney General Sessions doesn’t deny meeting with Russia, but he also claims that they didn’t talk about the campaign.

By admitting that he met with Russian officials, Sessions has opened the door for more questions about who he met with, when did he meet with them, and what did they talk about?
The Sessions denial wasn’t a flat and firm denial, and that makes life even more difficult for Donald Trump.
The Attorney General could have answered that he never met with Russia period, but he didn’t say that. Sessions said something different that he met with Russia, but it wasn’t about the campaign. The questions surrounding the Trump campaign’s relationship with Russia have become overwhelming. Instead of putting out the fire, Jeff Sessions may have started an inferno.

Mike Pence

So remember all that effort that the GOP spent attacking Hillary Clinton for using a private e-mail server for official state business? I mean their hypocrisy on this issue is so extreme that the NRA actually ran this ad during the campaign:

Yeah BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Fuck you, NRA! So guess what? Not only are the republican party fucking hypocrites on this issue, their own esteemed vice president got caught lying with his pants on fire. So here’s what happened:

Mike Pence regularly used an America Online email address during his time as Governor of Indiana, and he continued this practice after he became Donald Trump’s running mate. The Indy Star tried to access Pence’s emails under the Freedom of Information Act, and was given copies of some of them. According to the newspaper, Pence received one email from an adviser which included “an update from the FBI regarding the arrests of several men on federal terror-related charges.” But it gets much worse.

The Indy Star says it was told by new Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb’s office that some of Mike Pence’s private AOL emails couldn’t be publicly released because they contained information that was “confidential and too sensitive to release to the public.” These withheld emails must have included information that was even more sensitive than the details of an FBI briefing about terrorists, which was released. And then right around the time that Donald Trump was selecting Mike Pence as his running mate last summer, his AOL got hacked.

The Indy Star report simply says that Pence’s emails were hacked in the “summer” of 2016 and doesn’t offer a more firm date; we’ve asked them for a clarification. This is crucial because Pence became Trump’s running mate during the summer. Considering the larger circumstances of political emails having been hacked by Russia in this election, the most plausible explanation would be that Russia hacked Pence’s emails when he was coming into focus as the running mate, to see if they could find anything to compromise him on.
http://www.palmerreport.com/opinion/mike-pence-sent-confidential-government-info-via-private-aol-email-got-hacked-possibly-by-russia/1749/

Dude, you’re the fucking governor of Indiana! Why the hell are you using AOL to conduct official state business? And he got hacked! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! This is the very thing that the GOP spent so much time and effort attacking Hillary over during the campaign it’s not even funny!

Vice President Mike Pence routinely used a private email account to conduct public business as governor of Indiana, at times discussing sensitive matters and homeland security issues.

Emails released to IndyStar in response to a public records request show Pence communicated via his personal AOL account with top advisers on topics ranging from security gates at the governors residence to the states response to terror attacks across the globe. In one email, Pences top state homeland security adviser relayed an update from the FBI regarding the arrests of several men on federal terror-related charges.

Cybersecurity experts say the emails raise concerns about whether such sensitive information was adequately protected from hackers, given that personal accounts like Pence's are typically less secure than government email accounts. In fact, Pence's personal account was hacked last summer.
http://www.indystar.com/story/news/politics/2017/03/02/pence-used-personal-email-state-business----and-hacked/98604904/

Do you not know the first thing about networking, Mr. Vice President? Computers have these things called IP addresses. I mean you can literally trace an IP address to within 5 feet of any location on earth! Doesn’t matter what country, state, anything. You can trace a cell phone to within millimeters of its’ location! And you’re using fucking AOL to conduct state business? GTFO! And of course he’s playing ther “move along, nothing to see here” card!

U.S. Vice President Mike Pence on Friday said there was “no comparison whatsoever” between his use of a private email account for state business while he was governor of Indiana and the email woes of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Clinton’s use of a private email server during her time in government became a major point of criticism against her as the Democratic nominee during the 2016 presidential election by Pence, the running mate of President Donald Trump, and others involved in the Republican campaign.

“There’s no comparison whatsoever between Hillary Clinton’s practice, having a private server that was handling classified information, destroying emails that were requested by the Congress and by officials,” Pence told reporters on the sidelines of an event in Wisconsin.
http://www.rawstory.com/2017/03/pence-says-his-private-email-use-was-not-the-same-as-clintons/

But oh no! They tell us Mike Pence’s use of an e-mail server is way different than Hillary’s! Just… ah!!! NO IT ISN’T YOU FUCKING STUPID ASSHOLES!!! IT ISN’T THE SAME BY A LONG SHOT!!! How much longer are we going to have to put up with their stupidity before we rise up as one and put an end to this madness?

When he was governor of Indiana, Vice President Pence used a private email account for official business. That private email account, which contains information too sensitive to be released to the public, was hacked last year.

Those revelations come to us from the Indianapolis Star, which filed public records requests while Pence was governor and just now received 29 pages of emails from Pence's AOL account.

The news is reminiscent, of course, of the private email server Hillary Clinton used while she was secretary of state. Pence was among many, many Republicans extremely critical of Clinton for using private email to do official work.

And while there are some similarities between Pence and Clinton, based on what we know at this moment, it's not accurate to say they're the exact same. Below, I break down four similarities between Pence's and Clinton's private email accounts — and a whole bunch of differences:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2017/03/03/why-mike-pences-private-email-account-is-way-different-from-hillary-clintons/?utm_term=.e32de1e1a2d8

Jason Chaffetz

Holy shit, I get to use just about every one of those don’t I? Jesus, republicans, keep doing what you’re doing. And of course I say that with the upmost sarcasm I possibly can. I mean it’s bad enough they’re actually considering cutting the Coast Guard *AND* FEMA, which means that if we’re in a natural disaster (like the one their oil rigs in the Gulf Of Mexico) or an actual terrorist attack (like the one in Charleston 2 years ago), this is a whole new level of fucked up.

The Trump administration, searching for money to build the president’s planned multibillion-dollar border wall and crack down on illegal immigration, is weighing significant cuts to the Coast Guard, the Transportation Security Administration and other agencies focused on national security threats, according to a draft plan.

The proposal, drawn up by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), also would slash the budget of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, which provides disaster relief after hurricanes, tornadoes and other natural disasters. The Coast Guard’s $9.1 billion budget in 2017 would be cut 14 percent to about $7.8 billion, while the TSA and FEMA budgets would be reduced about 11 percent each to $4.5 billion and $3.6 billion, respectively.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/to-fund-border-wall-trump-administration-weighs-cuts-to-coast-guard-airport-security/2017/03/07/ba4a8e5c-036f-11e7-ad5b-d22680e18d10_story.html?utm_term=.e62b42b29b5c

I mean cutting FEMA is certifiably batshit insane. You don’t intentionally flood your house and then block the access road to fix it, do you? There’s that level of crazy GOP thinking, and then there’s Jason Chaffetz. Who came up with this insane analogy.

With the release of its draft Obamacare replacement bill, the Republican Party has set itself a monumental messaging challenge. After President Donald Trump repeatedly promised, for months, that the G.O.P.’s health-care alternative would provide “insurance for everybody” at a lower price, the actual bill does nothing of the sort. Instead, it is largely the product of traditional conservative orthodoxies, which hold that consumer choice, not affordability, should be the primary objective of health-care legislation. What this means in practice, among other things, is reducing taxes on the rich, who largely funded Obamacare; eventually rolling back the Medicaid expansion, which allowed millions of low-income Americans to get coverage; and replacing the current system of progressive subsidies with more regressive tax credits, which would shift costs from the middle- and upper-class to the working poor.

The draft G.O.P. plan, titled the American Health Care Act, is vehemently opposed by Democrats but also by a number of Republicans. Some, like Senators Lisa Murkowski and Cory Gardner, oppose reducing Medicaid benefits; others, like Senator Rand Paul and a number of conservative advocacy groups—including the powerful Heritage Action and Club for Growth—argue that the House bill is too generous, and risks creating a new, Republican-approved entitlement. All of which leaves the Republicans who have endorsed the bill—including the White House—with the difficult task of marketing a piece of legislation that half their critics believe is cruel and the other half not conservative enough.

You know what? Let’s take advantage of our crack research team here at the Top 10, or our research team on crack, and take Sen. Chaffetz’ analogy here seriously for a minute. An iPhone 7 costs at minimum $649 and that’s for the basic 16GB model. And let’s face it, 16GB gets you nowhere these days when videos and movies run 4GB minimum and that’s not including your music, apps, app data, and photo collections. If you’re going for the top of the line 256GB model, that will run you $849, or $40.75 a month. The 5.5” model runs you approximately $969, or $45.79 a month. But we’re still not done. Add in the $65 data rates, the $45 phone line fees, and the sales tax and state fees, which vary from state to state. You’re looking at minimum $143 per month, which is what I pay on my Verizon bill currently. And we’re still not done! Multiply that over a 2 year contract so if we take that $143 and multiply that over the course of 2 years, you’re looking at $143 *24 months = $3,432 total when all is said and done! And that doesn’t even include the cost of the apps you use on a daily basis, or start up fees, or down payment. Now compare that to the average cost of a life-saving surgery like let’s say an appendectomy, which costs anywhere from $5,000 to $180,000 and averages about $33,000. Which means that if you don’t have insurance, you’re probably going to die. Live a long, healthy life or play Clash Of Clans? Now let's have some fun with math and factor that into the cost of Mr. Chaffetz' estimate. In case you haven't heard, Clash Of Clans is expensive as shit to play completely through. On average players spend about $550 a month playing it. Yes, $550 a month. Minimum. Which at that estimate costs $7,384.22 and in some instances up to $12,068.77. That is a fucking expensive game to play! So add that to the cost of an iPhone - $7,384.22 + $3,432 = $10,718.22, or $3,432.77 + $12,068.77 = $15,500.77. That puts you at $1,000 short of buying a Nissan Sentra, which retails for $16,690. But even then is not enough to cover the average cost of an appendectomy or a coronary bypass. The appendectomy costs $33,000 on average, which you would have to play twice through on two different installations to meet the average estimate. And that's at least 3 times on 3 different iPhones to meet the cost of a coronary. So yeah I can see where Mr. Chaffetz is coming from if you inflate the numbers the way the GOP loves to. The choice is yours. So fuck you Jason Chaffetz! Thank you! But there’s more. Like a good republican, Chaffetz recused himself from his own comment:

(CNN)A Republican lawmaker on Tuesday walked back his remarks earlier in the day that low-income Americans may have to prioritize purchasing health care coverage over gadgets such as iPhones under Republicans' Obamacare replacement plan.
The controversy began when House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz told CNN's Alisyn Camerota on "New Day" that he wants low-income Americans to be able to have more access to health coverage.
"But access for lower income Americans doesn't equal coverage," Camerota said.

"Well, we're getting rid of the individual mandate. We're getting rid of those things that people said that they don't want," Chaffetz replied. "Americans have choices, and they've got to make a choice. So rather than getting that new iPhone that they just love and want to go spend hundreds of dollars on that, maybe they should invest in their own health care.
http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/07/politics/jason-chaffetz-health-care-iphones/

Yeah again I say – fuck you Jason Chaffetz! But that’s not the worst part of this story. Thanks to our favorite fact checkers, some dirt digging was done into what Chaffetz was doing. It turns out that he used campaign funds to pay for his own iPhone contract! D’oh!

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) faced criticism on Tuesday morning after appearing on CNN to discuss the GOP’s proposed Obamacare replacement plan. Chaffetz argued that Americans are personally responsible for their health care, rather than it being a service that the U.S. government should provide.

“You know what, Americans have choices, and they’ve got to make a choice,” he said. “And so maybe, rather than getting that new iPhone that they just love and want to go spend hundreds of dollars on, maybe they should invest in their own health care.” That’s easy to say, for someone who doesn’t pay his own phone bill.

According to the Federal Election Commission, Chaffetz’s political action committee (PAC) pays his Verizon bills. The 2014 document, which Intercept reporter Lee Fang shared on Twitter, shows that Chaffetz’s “rich donors” paid multiple Verizon Wireless bills between May and July of 2014, totaling nearly $1,000. Chaffetz’s campaign donations came from corporations, including Pfizer, Inc. and Goldman Sachs.

Donald Trump

In case you're wondering if Donald Trump supporters couldn't be any more classless, I give you Les Deplorables Wine:

My guess is that the Trump supporters will most likely go for the white wine. Hey o!!! Thank you I'm here all week! There isn’t enough batshit in the world for how crazy this next story is. And we really need to do a new segment called “Presidents Gone Wild”. I mean seriously, it may have been easy to keep Trump off Twitter for a while, and here’s how his staff was able to do it:

President Donald Trump’s former campaign staffers claim they cracked the code for tamping down his most inflammatory tweets, and they say the current West Wing staff would do well to take note.

The key to keeping Trump’s Twitter habit under control, according to six former campaign officials, is to ensure that his personal media consumption includes a steady stream of praise. And when no such praise was to be found, staff would turn to friendly outlets to drum some up — and make sure it made its way to Trump’s desk.

"If candidate Trump was upset about unfair coverage, it was productive to show him that he was getting fair coverage from outlets that were persuadable," said former communications director Sam Nunberg. "The same media that our base digests and prefers is going to be the base for his support. I would assume the president would like to see positive and preferential treatment from those outlets and that would help the operation overall."
http://www.politico.com/story/2017/02/trump-twitter-staffer-235263

Unfortunately that was an epic fail because over the weekend Trump dropped the big one, and it crossed a line that no president has crossed ever in the history of the United States, but it’s apparently OK because the republicans have a blind hatred for Obama and would prefer to see him locked up than enjoy retirement. Can we throw that Tweet up there?

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/837994257566863360

Yeah BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Fuck you! In fact this thing ignited a firestorm of fact checking the likes of which haven’t been seen yet, and we’ve seen a lot of fact checking.

Washington (CNN)The weekend's frenzy over President Donald Trump's so-far unsubstantiated claim that his predecessor tried to wiretap him is the latest example of a world view in which elections are rigged, the news he doesn't like is fake, there is mass voter fraud and the intelligence community is out to topple the White House with leaks.

It's the latest example in a pattern perfected by a president whose actions have had the effect of diversion. Faced with an explosive political situation at his feet, he lobs a rhetorical grenade elsewhere, using the resulting blast and confusion to his advantage. It moves the conversation from one that has him on defense to one where he is on offense.
http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/06/politics/donald-trump-goes-on-offense/

Yeah that’s an epic fail. And you know where the origins of this conspiracy theory launched? Why it was one of our favorite punching bags here at the Top 10 – Prison Planet. In fact Trump’s media diet is almost as toxic as his actual diet. If this is any indication:

Lots of fast food. Almost no sleep. And practically no exercise, aside from the occasional cart-supported round of golf.

This is a routine that a doctor wouldn't advise for a 20-year-old, yet it's the standard for the routine-loving President Donald Trump, according to Axios' "Trump 101" series, which notes that the 70-year-old is the oldest president to ever enter office.

On the campaign trail, the "three staples" of Trump's diet were Domino's, KFC, and McDonald's (Big Macs on silver platters), an aide told Axios, the new news website. That love for fast food is largely because of its consistency and the idea that fast-food companies maintain a standard of hygiene, according to an interview Trump conducted with Anderson Cooper that was cited in The New York Times.
http://www.businessinsider.com/trump-diet-unhealthy-2017-2

And here’s how a conspiracy works its’ ways from AM hate radio to Trump’s mouth:

WASHINGTON — It began at 6 p.m. Thursday as a conspiratorial rant on conservative talk radio: President Barack Obama had used the “instrumentalities of the federal government” to wiretap the Republican seeking to succeed him. This “is the big scandal,” Mark Levin, the host, told his listeners.

By Friday morning, the unsubstantiated allegation had been picked up by Breitbart News, the site once headed by President Trump’s chief strategist, Stephen K. Bannon. Less than 24 hours later, the president embraced the conspiracy in a series of Twitter posts accusing his predecessor of spying on him, setting in motion the latest head-spinning, did-he-really-say-that furor of Mr. Trump’s six-week-old presidency.

Previous presidents usually measured their words to avoid a media feeding frenzy, but Mr. Trump showed again over the weekend that he feeds off the frenzy. Uninhibited by the traditional protocols of his office, he makes the most incendiary assertions based on shreds of suspicion. He does so without consulting some of his most senior aides, or even agencies of his own government that might have contrary information. After setting off a public firestorm with no proof, he then calls for an investigation to find the missing evidence.
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/05/us/politics/trump-twitter-talk-radio-conspiracy-theory.html

I like that one! I think I have something here, and bare with me. See, conservative white men don’t give a shit about health. Just look at Donald Trump and Alex Jones. So garbage is ingested by their mouths into the colon, which in turn circulates that garbage matter directly to the cranial cavity, and that in turn, causes garbage to exit the mouth. This in turn allows conservative gas bags to live extremely long lives. Scientists call this disease “copro encephalopathy”. But in layman’s terms, we call it “shit for brains”! Thank you!

Getting back on topic, In fact this claim is so extreme, that the *COUGH* esteemed *COUGH* head of the FBI, James Comey – the guy who accused Hillary Clinton of that whole e-mail bullshit that many would claim cost her the election, is asking Trumpenfuror to back off:

FBI Director James Comey asked Justice Department officials to publicly reject President Donald Trump's claims that former President Barack Obama ordered the wiretapping of Trump Tower, The New York Times reported Sunday. A senior U.S. official confirmed the newspaper's reporting to NBC News.

The Times reported that Comey requested that the Justice Department publicly rebut the president's allegations — which he posted on Twitter without evidence — because the claims are untrue and suggest that the FBI broke the law. Comey's appeal pits him against the president.

But, The Times added, Comey is having difficulty knocking the story down because there are only a few politically appointed Justice Department officials who could approve a statement, as Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from anything pertaining to the government's investigation into alleged connections between Russia and the Trump campaign.

Thank you Hank! But we’re still not done! Apparently Chaffetz is playing the “Nothing to see here!” card!

House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. Jason Chaffetz said Monday that he has seen no evidence that would support President Donald Trump’s accusation that former President Barack Obama had ordered an illegal wiretap of Trump Tower during last year’s presidential campaign.

“I learned a long time ago, I'm going to keep my eyes wide open,” Chaffetz (R-Utah) said on “CBS This Morning.” “You never know when you turn a corner what you may or may not see. But thus far I have not seen anything directly that would support what the president has said.”

Trump made his explosive and unsubstantiated accusation on Saturday morning, when he wrote on Twitter that he had “just found out that Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory.” While the president leveled the charge with certainty, White House officials have not yet offered any proof to back Trump’s claims and have instead called for a Congressional investigation to verify them.
http://www.politico.com/story/2017/03/trump-obama-wiretap-jason-chaffetz-235711

And then here's my favorite part of this whole thing - Trump apparently wanted a private investigator to "investigate" the claims of illegal wiretapping:

Mr. Trump also canvassed some aides and associates about whether an investigator, even one outside the government, could substantiate his charge.

People close to Mr. Trump had seen the pattern before. The episode echoed repeated instances in the 2016 presidential campaign.

During the primary contests, Mr. Trump seized on a false National Enquirer article that raised a connection between the father of Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and John F. Kennedy’s assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald. Later, Mr. Trump justified it to skeptical campaign aides by saying, “Even if it isn’t totally true, there’s something there,” according to a former campaign official.

"Welcome to Bigly Yuge Private Investigations, my name is Donald Trump, Private Investigator. I make the biggest claims. Nobody makes bigger claims than I do!". By the way, we have to mention the absurdity of Trump misspelling the word “hereby”, which John Oliver mocked relentlessly on Last Week Tonight:

President Trump on Friday misspelled "hereby" in two tweets, which have since been deleted and replaced with the correct spelling.

Both tweets called for an investigation into Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for their ties to Russia.

The first tweet spelled hereby "hear by," so Trump deleted it and replaced it with another tweet. But that second tweet spelled "hereby" as "hearby," again a misspelling.

Trump finally sent out a third tweet spelling "hereby" correctly.

Donald Trump

I can’t wait until the day comes where we get to say that to Trump. “Donald J. Trump, you are terminated! Now get to the choppa!”. Remember that show Celebrity Apprentice? Because if Trump were still hosting it, we’d get a glimpse of what American state run television would look like, it would be the Celebrity Apprentice. You know, the show where Z-grade celebrities like Meatloaf and Gary Busey threatened to murder each other over art supplies?

So Ahnuld quit this week citing the toxicity of the Trump brand and low ratings, among other reasons, but before he left, he went out in a blaze of glory.

President Donald Trump just can’t quit the ignominious demise of his former reality TV show “Celebrity Apprentice,” taking to Twitter early Saturday to claim that this past season’s host, Arnold Schwarzenegger, “was fired by his bad (pathetic) ratings, not by me.”

Schwarzenegger, who led the 15th season that just wrapped for NBC to disappointing ratings, quickly tweeted a reply: “You should think about hiring a new joke writer and a fact checker.”

On Friday, the big-screen action star and former California governor announced that he “would decline” to return for another season “even if asked,” and blamed the show’s poor showing on Trump — who starred in 14 seasons of the show and retained an executive producer credit even after winning the presidential election.
http://www.thewrap.com/donald-trump-claims-arnold-schwarzenegger-fired-celebrity-apprentice/

Can we throw those tweets up there? Here’s what The Donald said:

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/838016045222854656

To which Ahnuld himself responded:

https://twitter.com/Schwarzenegger/status/838025579802816512

But did you see the reasons why Arnold decided to quit Celebrity Apprentice? Come on Arnold, join our side, you know you want to!

America's former 'Governator' has quit the US reality show The Celebrity Apprentice.

Film actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger had signed onto the series to replace outgoing mentor Donald Trump.

Schwarzenegger's first outing with the series saw a softening in the ratings, a point which Trump, now America's 45th President, gloated about on social media.

In what is now perhaps the least unusual wrinkle in the strange tapestry of Trump's presidency, he remains an executive producer of the series in addition to being the America's Commander-in-Chief.

Donald Trump

Donald Trump. The presidential equivalent of Krusty The Klown. Really it’s probably easier to find a list of things Trump hasn’t endorsed. I mean he’s got his own line of steaks (which he “enjoys” burnt to a crisp), vodka (he doesn’t drink), casinos (he doesn’t gamble), and hotels (which he encourages his staff to stay in). So by now I’m sure you have heard that Trump’s sons Uday and Qusay have opened a gigantic hotel in Dubai with the Trump name on it. So much for that whole “conflict of interest” thing that we keep hearing so much about! And we don't even need to point out that China recently approved 40 new Trump brand trademarks, which includes - we shit you not - an escort service!

Among the 38 trademarks approved for the Trump Organization by the Chinese government over the past few weeks is one that seems likely to raise a few eyebrows: As of now, it is the only company that can legally operate Trump-branded escort services in China.

Which is precisely the point.

Last year, we explored a surprising international business effort called “Trump Escorts.” Based at trumpescorts.com but offering services in a number of countries, Trump Escorts used the Trump lettermark for its logo and listed its address as 180 Riverside in New York City, the location of a building called Trump Place. On the day after Donald Trump announced his bid for the presidency, Trump Escorts sent out a news release promoting its revamped website.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/politics/wp/2017/03/08/the-trump-organizations-trademark-for-escort-services-in-china-isnt-what-you-might-think/?utm_term=.f46aac4f54c4

Now let's juxtapose that with his tweet on International Women's Day (which is today, I might add!) :

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/839433951957696513

But this next entry is about Trump brand hotels, which the Trump sons Uday and Qusay used tax payers' money to travel to Dubai to open their latest gaudy monstrosity:

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — The well-heeled guests strolled up red carpeted steps and through lines of smiling young women to reach the newest outpost in President Trump’s international business empire.

At the Saturday night opening of the clubhouse of the Trump International Golf Club, Dubai, guests munched on mini chicken burgers and sipped fizzy lemonade while Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., the president’s adult sons, lauded the ruler of Dubai and their business partner, Hussain Sajwani.

Mr. Sajwani, a billionaire businessman who, like Mr. Trump, built his wealth through real estate, told the crowd that working with the Trumps “was and continues to be a pleasure.”
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/18/world/middleeast/trump-dubai-vancouver.html

But the greed doesn’t stop there, my friends! Oh no it gets way worse! In fact here’s what is happening in Toronto where a new Trump Tower is going up , which may become the political center of Canada. I mean this just a big money laundering circle jerk:

Trump hotel may be political capital of the nation’s capital: At a circular booth in the middle of the Trump International Hotel’s balcony restaurant, President Donald Trump dined on his steak — well-done, with ketchup — while chatting up British Brexit politician Nigel Farage. A few days later, major Republican donors Doug Deason and Doug Manchester, in town for the president’s address to Congress, sipped coffee at the hotel with Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif. After Trump’s speech, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin returned to his Washington residence — the hotel — and strode past the gigantic American flag in the soaring lobby. With his tiny terrier tucked under an arm, Mnuchin stepped into an elevator with reality TV star and hotel guest Dog the Bounty Hunter, who particularly enjoyed the Trump-stamped chocolates in his room.

I like that one! But there’s more. This report surfaced about how workers were treated by Trump in Dubai, and if this is any indication of how he wants to treat American workers with all those “jobs” he’s been promising, well… fuck I’d rather be unemployed!

A Trump hotel in Dubai found itself in the spotlight Monday over a video allegedly showing migrant workers living in horrific conditions.

The Trump International Golf Club in Dubai is one of many hotels worldwide belonging to the Trump real estate conglomerate. The hotel is currently under construction and workers have reportedly been subjected to extremely harsh living quarters. HBO’s VICE Correspondent Ben Anderson used a hidden camera to uncover the harsh reality the workers must face.

“Even by the unbelievably low-standards of Dubai, the guys living 10 to 21 to a villa are treated really, really badly,” Anderson said in the video. “Just outside the kitchen door was a bathroom that didn’t look fit for human-beings.”

And in case you’re wondering about Trump’s hypocrisy over the travel ban, first off he’s making a dramatic impact on American tourism. He’s losing bigly!

President Trump’s proposed travel ban of citizens from seven majority-Muslim countries is weighing heavily on the tourism industry. Whether it’s individuals who want to see the U.S. or companies planning travel for corporate events, many in the industry are expecting fewer people to visit America in the foreseeable future.

Ally Bolour, a Los Angeles-based attorney who immigrated to the U.S. from Iran as a child in the 1970s, said he has friends overseas who now say they won’t come for a visit.

“They want me to come to them,” he told Fox News. “The uncertainty of everything, and keeping people in suspense, keeps people from traveling. There's a chilling effect.”
http://www.foxnews.com/travel/2017/03/01/travel-industry-experts-warn-us-tourism-could-take-major-hit-under-trump.html

I like that one too! And then there’s this – you know he makes money off some Muslim countries? Oh those are OK ones! They aren’t affected by the travel ban! But those evil ones? Don’t go to those!

Presidential candidate Donald Trump may want to ban Muslims entering the U.S. but he's making millions from business deals in countries where Islam is the main religion.

In his latest personal financial disclosure required by all candidates, and on his web site, Trump lists various interests in the United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan and Turkey, and two new ventures in Indonesia.

Trump filed his income statement in July, and amended it in August. Here's what he declared in predominately Muslim countries:

The Trump Organization has plans for two golf resorts in the Arab emirate of Dubai. In the filing, Trump lists what is described as a "management deal with DAMAC Crescent Properties" and states the underlying asset "value is not readily ascertainable." He lists no income. Neither resort has opened, although one is due to be completed this year.

I think we know who the real terrorist is here!

Roger Stone

Yes there’s some really dark and disturbing shit in this entry. And it’s going to get graphic. If you want to skip over this entry, I will allow you to do so. In fact I’ll give you some intermission music.

OK you’ve chosen to stick with us. Fine. You chose to take the red pill. If you need any further proof that the GOP are off their rockers and getting more batshit crazy by the day, look no further than Donald Trump’s political strategist, tin foil hat conspiracy theorist, and guy who gay women use as an example of why they’re not heterosexual, Roger Stone. I mean really, this fucking douchebag. Remember he’s the guy who wrote this book:

Yup – a book that allegedly tears down the Clinton’s “hypocrisy” when it comes to voters of the feminine persuasion. Feminine Persuasion, by the way, saw them at the Troubadour last week. Awesome band! But getting back on topic. What did Roger Stone do this week?

Right-wing talking head and former Trump advisor Roger Stone had quite the Twitter meltdown last night when a writer confronted him over his support of Trump’s wiretapping claims.

Stone, who was banned from CNN and MSNBC during the recent election, tweeted, “The buck stops here. Obama responsible for illegal surveillance of @realDonaldTrump - must be charged, convicted and jailed.” When a Twitter user and feminist professor who goes by the username @RVAWonk replied to him with questions, he went on a manic, expletive-filled tirade that included such gems as “bring it! Would enjoy crush u in court and forcing you to eat sh*t- you stupid ignorant ugly b*tch!” and “you stupid stupid b*tch - never denied perfectly legal back channel to Assange who indeed had the goods on #CrookedHillary.” He also tweeted angrily at J.K. Rowling for not housing refugees. Stone has since deleted these tweets, but screenshots are the gifts that keep on giving.
http://nymag.com/thecut/2017/03/former-trump-advisor-roger-stone-had-a-twitter-meltdown.html

Holy shit! Can we throw that Tweet up there?

https://twitter.com/RVAwonk/status/838248860044623874

Yes holy shit indeed! I mean a guy who wrote a book on the Clintons attacking women, well, attacks women! And like other things the GOP doesn’t understand, like what’s public and what’s private, well, I give you this:

Longtime Donald Trump ally and advisor Roger Stone had a very public meltdown on Twitter Saturday night, tweeting vulgar and insulting things about CNN commentator Ana Navarro, politics writer Yashar Ali, and, of course, Hillary Clinton. Some of those tweets have been deleted, while others remain on his account as of Sunday morning.

The night began when Stone attacked a woman who responded to one of his tweets accusing former President Barack Obama of "illegal surveillance" of Donald Trump. The woman, who identifies as Caroline O. and uses the handle @RVAwonk, responded to Stone by asking, "Do you know what libel is, Mr. Stone?"

Stone's response was classy, as always: "bring it! Would enjoy crush u in court and forcing you to eat shit-you stupid ignorant ugly bitch !" and also, "@RVAwonk you stupid stupid bitch -never denied perfectly legal backchannel to Assange who indeed had the goods on #CrookedHillary." The tweets have since been deleted.
http://www.esquire.com/news-politics/news/a53606/roger-stone-tweets/

But some interesting info may have come out of Stone’s Twitter meltdown. Why isn’t this guy behind padded walls?

President Donald Trump’s close adviser Roger Stone — better known as a notorious right-wing hatchet man and conspiracy theorist— doesn’t seem to have learned much from his boss’s own bad experiences with Twitter. If he had, he might have avoided his embarrassing weekend incident, one in which he may have admitted to colluding with Julian Assange to leak emails that damaged Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

Stone took to Twitter to reiterate Trump’s false claim that President Barack Obama had wiretapped him, posting, “The buck stops here. Obama responsible for illegal surveillance of @realDonaldTrump – must be charged, convicted and jailed.” After that, he got into a heated exchange with a feminist professor Twitter user, whom he called a “stupid ignorant ugly bitch,” and later, a “stupid stupid bitch.”

He did, however, remove the offending tweets, although the Twitter user, Caroline O., had already taken screenshots of them.

Holy shit!!!!!! Wow!!!!

Mark Chelgren

Politicians at national, state and local levels who are so terrible , you wonder how they got elected in the first place. Or in this case reelected. It’s now time for another installment of:

This week, Iowa State Senator Mark Chelgren. So here’s a rather curious entity that slipped under the radar. You know the GOP’s goal is world domination, and they’re achieving that goal at about the same rate that Dr. Evil attempted to take over the world in all of those Austin Powers movies. If you’ve seen Twitter lately or anything having to do with Donald Trump or the GOP, you know conservatives utterly despise us. They think we’re deranged, violent lunatics. Well… maybe just the ones that show up at protests. But you know when the other side hates your guts, when people show up to peaceful protests with ski masks and crowbars, you know they’re not there to join hands and sing. There’s batshit crazy, and then there’s Mark Chelgren, a GOP state senator from Iowa who has proposed such laws as this:

'The party affiliation on your voter registration card could block you from employment at Iowa’s state universities were a newly proposed bill by Senator Mark Chelgren became law. Senate File 288, proposed by the Ottumwa legislator, could bring about a Soviet-style purge of liberal-leaning college staff in Iowa. Chelgren wants to impose an ideological litmus test in order to create a “partisan balance,” based on how Iowa has voted in past elections.

The legislation proposes that a “person shall not be hired as a professor or instructor member of the faculty at such an institution if the person’s political party affiliation on the date of hire would cause the percentage of faculty belonging to one political party to exceed by ten percent the percentage of faculty belonging to the other political party.”

The Secretary of State’s office would be directed to provide voter registration lists to the colleges so that new job applicants’ party affiliation could be checked before the hiring process gets underway. Graciously, Chelgren allows for people registered as No Party to slip through the process without facing the litmus test.'>>>

http://iowastartingline.com/2017/02/20/senator-chelgren-aims-purge-democrats-iowa-universities/

Yeah fuck those “liberal universities” with their knowledge and their facts and their big words and craft beers and food houses and entertaining music and theater that us Busch Light drinkers don’t understand! Yes, in mocking them, I managed to find the one beer that even they would find disgusting! I kid, I kid! We only need people who believe in alternative facts working at state campuses! And by the way, he really hates universities. Remember last year when Stanford kicked the shit out of Iowa at the Rose Bowl? Well, crybaby Mark Chelgren did this:

The notoriously “edgy” Stanford marching band performed a skit full of dumb hick stereotypes during halftime of Stanford’s 45-16 thwacking of Iowa in the Rose Bowl. Despite the fact that the skit wasn’t particularly good, funny, or unexpected, everybody lost their goddamn minds. Iowa fans got mad, Rose Bowl officials got mad, and now a deeply stupid Iowa State Senator has gotten mad.

Senator Mark Chelgren introduced a bill Wednesday that would prohibit “collaboration and cooperation” between Stanford and the University of Iowa, Iowa State, or Northern Iowa until Stanford apologizes for the band’s skit. Here is the relevant text:
The state board of regents shall prohibit any future collaboration or cooperation between the institutions of higher learning governed by the board and Stanford university, excluding sporting events, until Stanford university officials publicly apologize to Iowa’s citizens and to the university of Iowa for the unsporting behavior of the Leland Stanford junior university marching band.

This might be the smarmiest, wimpiest, pettiest, weakest, most pathetic thing I have ever heard of. Chelgren’s feelings were so hurt by the actions of a bunch of dumb 20-year-olds—that everybody knows and agrees are dumb—that he seeks to prevent Iowa’s institutions of higher learning from collaborating with one of the best universities in the world. And to top it off, Chelgren intends to punish the students and teachers of Iowa while letting university athletic teams continue to play against Stanford.
http://deadspin.com/iowa-senator-introduces-just-the-whiniest-bill-about-th-1756993421

In fact he hates universities so much that he’s proposing a “litmus test” for prospective new students and faculty! I mean this is a stunning level of evil, but good for us I guess since most of the hardcore republicans would fail this test!

Iowa’s public universities would need to consider political party affiliation when hiring new faculty members, under a bill proposed by a Republican state senator.

State senator Mark Chelgren said the measure was an attempt to counter the liberal slant at the state’s three public universities.

“My goal isn’t to eliminate speech on the other side of the equation, but we have to have balanced speech,” said Chelgren, from Ottumwa.
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/feb/23/iowa-voter-registration-faculty-applicants-universities

Yes, Mark, your goal is to eliminate speech from the other side! That’s the republicans wet dream! Just ask other countries if it’s working out so well for them in Turkey! Or Greece. Or Russia or any place where speech is censored and controlled! Well, I couldn’t love this story more. Because thanks to some brave fact checkers, people did some serious dirt digging on Chelgren’s “business degree” and found that – guess what? He doesn’t have a business degree at all! It’s a Sizzler Management Training Certificate! Yay!! What? I guess Krusty’s Klown Kollege wasn’t available?

The information that was posted on the Iowa Senate Republican’s website used to suggest that Mark Chelgren, a state lawmaker, held a business degree.

But that wasn’t exactly the case, according to NBC News and other media outlets, which this week reported that Chelgren instead held a certificate for a training program for the chain restaurant Sizzler.

Still, Chelgren — a Republican who represents the Iowa Senate’s 41st District in the southeastern part of the state — told the Associated Press that he didn’t mean to mislead people.

“I know they’ve changed that, because apparently a degree and a certificate are different,” Chelgren told AP. “And I’m okay with their change, but there was never any intent at all to mislead anyone.”

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/grade-point/wp/2017/03/02/this-lawmakers-bio-touted-a-business-degree-it-was-actually-a-sizzler-training-certificate/?tid=pm_pop&utm_term=.ddca533c7d62#comments

That’s Iowa State Senator Mark Chelgren. Yet another entry to add to the ever-growing list of:

The Trump Effect

Holy fuck. You know once again we have to talk about the Trump Effect. If you’re unaware of what this is, it’s all the racism, sexism, bigotry, misogyny and homophobia that’s the direct result of Trump being in office. He has maybe denounced this shit once, but his supporters not only think they can get away with it, they also think its’ funny! Well, this fucking shit is not funny. It is an act of terrorism!

On Monday morning, the Levine Jewish Community Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, received its third bomb threat in two months. This time, administrators were used to the drill. They didn't even evacuate – just had law enforcement sweep the premises and went along with their day. State Sen. Jeff Jackson, whose son Owen is enrolled in pre-K at Levine JCC, learned about the newest threat on Twitter while in line for lunch at Chipotle.

That's how routine bomb threats have become at Jewish Community Centers and the preschools many of them house; more than 100 such threats have been received at JCCs around the country since President Trump took office.

"We've had three bomb threats in the last five years, and they've all happened in the last 60 days," {Sen. Jeff} Jackson, a Democrat who represents North Carolina's 37th district, tells Rolling Stone. "Find me the person who thinks that's a coincidence."

http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/features/state-senator-slams-trump-after-sons-jcc-pre-k-gets-bomb-threats-w469638

There really isn’t anything funny to say about this, so I will kindly refrain from doing so. In fact there really wont be any memes or video clips to accompany this entry because it’s far too horrifying to make fun of. But not only that, there’s also this:

The vandalism of more than a dozen headstones at a Jewish cemetery in Rochester is being investigated by a New York hate crime task force, the third known case of a Jewish cemetery desecration in the country in the last two weeks.

Democratic New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said he ordered the investigation at Waad Hakolel Cemetery given the wave of bomb threats that later proved hoaxes targeting Jewish community centers and vandalism at Jewish cemeteries in Philadelphia and St. Louis.

U.S. President Donald Trump, a Republican, has condemned the threats and attacks, although he has at times also questioned whether some perpetrators might be opponents of his seeking to link his new presidency with a rise in anti-Semitism.
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-newyork-cemetery-idUSKBN1692WE

But this isn’t just the first time! Oh no my friends! It gets worse and worse from there!

UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Police in University City are investigating vandalism at a Jewish cemetery.

Police said they received a report of vandalism from the Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery, at 7550 Olive. Several headstones were seen knocked over.

And it doesn’t just stop there! Not only have Jewish cemeteries been desecrated, I’m sure by Trump fans, Jewish community centers and day care centers have been getting bomb threats. Yes, fucking bomb threats! WTF! And why isn’t the media reporting this as terrorism? It absolutely 100% qualifies as fucking terrorism!

On Monday morning, the Levine Jewish Community Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, received its third bomb threat in two months. This time, administrators were used to the drill. They didn't even evacuate – just had law enforcement sweep the premises and went along with their day. State Sen. Jeff Jackson, whose son Owen is enrolled in pre-K at Levine JCC, learned about the newest threat on Twitter while in line for lunch at Chipotle.

http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/features/state-senator-slams-trump-after-sons-jcc-pre-k-gets-bomb-threats-w469638

Oh it’s just a bomb threat. Never mind that it’s the fourth one they’ve received this month! And it gets worse!! I mean, Jesus!

A senior adviser to President Trump linked the latest wave of threats against Jewish community centers to Democrat in a Tuesday tweet.

Anthony Scaramucci tweeted it is "not yet clear" who is responsible for the threats, noting that some Democrats reportedly incited violence during Trump rallies.

"It's not yet clear who the #JCC offenders are. Don't forget @TheDemocrats effort to incite violence at Trump rallies," he tweeted while linking to an article from right-leaning Breitbart News about a Project Veritas investigation of "trained provocateurs" at Republican events.
http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/321566-trump-adviser-links-dems-to-jewish-center-bomb-threats

And there’s even more to that than this. Because our president finally broke his silence on this topic. And holy shit, he’s even worse than you might expect:

Hatred and hate-motivated violence of any kind have no place in a country founded on the promise of individual freedom. The President has made it abundantly clear that these actions are unacceptable.
It’s worth noting that terrorism and vandalism have absolutely nothing to do with “individual freedom” and that threatening to kill small babies and elderly people is an affront to human safety and dignity, not just “freedom.” The White House statement, you also might have noticed, did not contain the words Jewish, Jewish Community Center, or terrorism or anti-Semitism. This has become something of a tradition for the Trump administration, which failed to mention the existence of Jewish victims in a message issued on Holocaust Remembrance Day. Last week, Trump fielded a question about the rise in anti-Semitic incidents during a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by making another rambling reference to his Electoral College victory and his Jewish daughter and by dismissing the question as unfair. And on Thursday, in the strangest performance to date, Trump told a Jewish reporter to sit down and accused him of lying when he was asked a softball question about the rise of anti-Jewish hate.
http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2017/02/donald_trump_s_disturbing_dalliance_with_anti_semitic_rhetoric.html

And then there was this – again! These assholes have no soul!

White House press secretary Sean Spicer responded to a harshly worded comment from the Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect Tuesday by saying he wished the center had recognized the Presidents leadership in combating anti-Semitism.

The center responded to Trumps denunciation of anti-Semitism Tuesday after relative silence from his administration on the issue by calling it a pathetic asterisk of condescension after weeks in which he and his staff have committed grotesque acts and omissions reflecting Antisemitism, yet day after day have refused to apologize and correct the record. Spicer said he had seen the statement.

Stupidest State Round 6: #7 Tennessee Vs. #8 North Carolina

16 states will enter, and only one state will be crowned the new Top 10 Conservative Idiots Stupidest State! If you need a reminder of the conferences, there’s the Batshit Conference, the Fiscal Irresponsibility Conference, the Gun Nut Conference, and the Family Values Conference. Last week, it was a Batshit Conference showdown where Texas was awaiting their opponent. And Florida Man put on quite the show all by himself as he scored a whopping 60 points to carry his team past hot newcomer Maine, who struggled to keep up against the almighty Florida Man. This week there was a twist! Originally, when the Stupidest State contest began, North Carolina was poised to take on Oklahoma, but due to the NFFSA (National For Fuck’s Sake Association) Tournament Board Of Directors laying the hammer down on recruiting violations, Oklahoma had to leave the tournament, and Tennessee would up taking their place. Next up in our Stupidest State Contest is that we’re returning back to where it started with the Family Values Conference. Yes, the conference where it’s not OK to get an abortion or participate in a gay marriage ceremony, but it’s perfectly OK for your governor to engage in some kinky backdoor sex with prostitutes, have multiple wives, and get investigated by the state senate for ethics violations. So let’s get out our brackets shall we? The Hateful 8 is shaping up folks, Round 2 is going to be very interesting!

Our next state is Tennessee, the Volunteer State. The home of some of the most amazing music in the country. It’s the home of the Grand Ole Opry and, Jack White’s Third Man Records. It’s also the home of Graceland – the legendary home and final resting place of Elvis Presley. It’s also the home of Dolly Parton and Dollyworld and the world famous Sun Records, currently the subject of CMT’s “Sun Records” about the origins of two music legends – Jerry Lee Lewis and the late, great Johnny Cash. It’s also the home of Vanderbilt University and the University of Tennessee Volunteers, and world class sports teams like the Memphis Grizzlies, Nashville Predaotrs, and the Tennessee Titans. But what else is Tennessee the home of? It’s the home of lots of Tennessee bigotry. In fact this is the state that gave birth to the famous “don’t say gay” law a few years ago.

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/nationnow/2012/02/dont-say-gay-bill-tennessee.html

A bill that would ban teaching Tennessee kids about homosexuality before they reach the ninth grade was approved by a state House subcommittee Wednesday, reigniting an emotional debate in the buckle of the Bible Belt.

The bill, which would limit class discussions to "natural human reproduction science" in public schools, passed the House education subcommittee, which keeps it on track for consideration by the full House, according to reports in the Nashville Tennessean and the Nashville Scene.

To supporters, the bill gives parents control over how and when to educate their children about what is still, to some, a sensitive topic.

"The basic right as an American is my right to life, my right to liberty and my right to the pursuit of happiness," Democratic state Rep. John DeBerry said, according to the Tennessean. "Within that includes being able to run my home, raise my children as I see fit and indoctrinate them as I see fit."

I
But that isn’t the only thing TN did that allowed them to enter the tournament. Just this last week, the TN House proposed one of the harshest anti-LGBT laws of late with this:

Heather MacKenzie bought her wedding ring at Wal-Mart. MacKenzie, now 38, proposed to her wife, Charitey, by driving to the top of Tiger Hill in Murfreesboro, a town located near the couple’s Tennessee home. The hill, a favorite spot for preteen sledders during the winter, looks over the entire town, as well as the vast expanse of the surrounding area. This was where the MacKenzies had their first date.

The pair said “I do” in June 2015, just days after the Obergefell v. Hodges ruling legalized marriage between same-sex couples in their state. The MacKenzies were wed in Nashville in front of the courthouse under a magnolia tree.

Over a year later, the couple are expecting a child: Charitey is 12 weeks pregnant with a son. A trio of recently proposed laws, however, could jeopardize the future of their growing clan. This legislation seeks to erase any hint of legal recognition for LGBT couples in Tennessee, all but declaring war on the families of same-sex parents living in the state.

Filed by State Rep. Terri Lynn Weaver, House Bill 1406 would prevent a couple from listing on the birth certificate the second parent (the spouse not giving birth) after a woman becomes pregnant through artificial insemination. The legislation would nullify a provision of the Tennessee Code Annotated 68-3-306, which was issued as part of the Vital Records Act of 1977. The law states, “A child born to a married woman as a result of artificial insemination, with consent of the married woman’s husband, is deemed to be the legitimate child of the husband and wife.”

And in case you’re wondering about the kind of upstanding family values citizens that make up the Volunteer State, I give you the Willis Family, who’s equally about as batshit crazy as TLC’s other favorite backwoods family, Duck Dynasty’s Robertsons.

Dad from Toby Willis — patriarch of the conservative Christian family featured on TLC’s reality show The Willis Family — has been arrested and charged with the rape of an underage girl.

The New York Daily News reported Saturday that Toby Willis, 46, was arrested and charged by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) for raping an underage girl 12 years ago.

TBI agents carried out a days-long investigation of the charges against Willis, who is the father of 12 children, all of whose names begin with the letter J. The Duggar-like musical family were the stars of their own reality show about traveling the country spreading the Christian gospel and performing country music. However, due to poor ratings, TLC canceled the show in April.

Willis was apprehended in Kentucky where he fled in an attempt to evade arrest. He will be extradited to Tennessee’s Cheatham County Jail, where he will be held without bond.TLC’s conservative Christian ‘Willis Family’ series arrested for child rape

Yeah… child rape is what passes for family values in Tennessee. What else passes for family values in Tennessee? Why two years ago they passed a bill in the House that allowed for active discrimination of LGBT students! Yes, LGBT bullying was practically legalized in Tennessee. But they won’t call it the “pro bullying act”. Nope, they call it “Religious Viewpoints Antidiscrimination Act”. I’m sure when the time comes, God will smite these people.

The ACLU warns that the bill, SB 1793/HB 1547, “crosses the line from protecting religious freedom into creating systematic imposition of some students’ personal religious viewpoints on other students.”
“Should this pass, students with a range of religious beliefs, as well as non-believers, would likely routinely be required to listen to religious messages or participate in religious exercises that conflict with their own beliefs,” the ACLU adds. “Conversely, if a student of a minority religious faith (e.g., a Buddhist, a Wiccan, etc.) or a non-believer were to obtain a ‘position of honor,’ as defined under this bill, that student would be permitted to subject all classmates to prayer and proselytizing specific to his or her faith tradition in connection with school events. In both cases, parents would have no recourse to ensure that their children were not coerced into such religious exercise.”

Not only that, Tennessee has another insane anti-LGBT active discrimination law that disguises itself as “religious freedom”, which has nothing to do with religion or freedom, and everything to do with discrimination!

http://www.thenewcivilrightsmovement.com/davidbadash/largest_counselors_association_cancels_tennessee_conference_over_anti_gay_religious_freedom_law

The American Counseling Association (ACA) has canceled its 2017 conference scheduled for Nashville, after Tennessee GOP Gov. Bill Haslam signed an anti-gay "religious freedom" bill into law. The only one of its kind, HB 1840 allows therapists and counselors to refuse service based on claimed sincerely held principles. The ACA is the largest group representing counselors in the world.

Calling the new law "the worst" he's seen in 30 years, ACA CEO Richard Yep says HB 1840 is discriminatory and "targets" LGBT people. Yep, in a video statement, says the Tennessee law is "in clear violation of the American Counseling Association's code of ethics."...

North Carolina

The next state we come to is one of the original inspirations for this contest. North Carolina. The Tar Heel State is also the state where flight originated. Yes it’s the home of Orville and Wilbur Wright. In fact “First In Flight” is the official state motto of North Carolina. It’s also the home of Duke University. If college basketball teams were super heroes, University of Kentucky would be Spiderman, and Duke would be their Green Goblin. It’s also the home of world class sports teams including the Super Bowl contending Carolina Panthers and the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets. It’s also the home of UNC and the NASCAR Hall Of Fame! But what else is North Carolina the home of? It’s the home of the most insane anti-LGBT bathroom bill in the entire country – the controversial HB-2. We’ve been covering HB-2 for the better part of a year here at the Top 10 but there have been tons of new developments with it.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina legislators will repeal the contentious HB2 law that limited protections for LGBT people and led to an economic backlash, the state's incoming governor said Monday.

Gov.-elect Roy Cooper made the announcement shortly after the Charlotte City Council voted to repeal its own local ordinance enacted in early 2016. It was that ordinance that Republicans blamed for the statewide law.

"Senate Leader Phil Berger and House Speaker Tim Moore assured me that as a result of Charlotte's vote, a special session will be called for Tuesday to repeal HB 2 in full. I hope they will keep their word to me and with the help of Democrats in the legislature, HB2 will be repealed in full," the Democrat said in a statement.

The repeal would be a remarkable sign of cooperation for the incoming governor and the GOP-controlled legislature. Just last week, lawmakers called a special session and stripped Cooper of some of his authority when he takes office next

Original douchebag and founder of the Bathroom Police, Pat McCrory may finally be gone, but North Carolina still has an anti-LGBT agenda and a state House packed with conservatives wanting to enforce key parts of HB-2, but it’s having an adverse effect on the state.

This week, North Carolina found out it is not getting 730 new jobs and a quarter-billion-dollar impact that it was the top contender for. The reason? Its anti-LGBT law, HB2, which bans trans people from using the bathroom and bars municipalities from protecting LGBT people from discrimination.

CoStar Group Inc., a real estate analytics company, had been shopping around cities to build a new research operations headquarters, and the contenders were Charlotte, Richmond, Atlanta, and Kansas City. The Atlanta Business Chronicle heard from sources that Charlotte was the favorite. But the jobs are going to Richmond.

According to David Dorsch, CoStar Group’s commercial real estate broker, “The primary reason they chose Richmond over Charlotte was HB2.” CoStar Group was itself, a bit mum, simply confirming the jobs were going to Richmond — and no expansions were planned anywhere else. But Dorsch was adamant that the jobs were another casualty of the discriminatory law. “The best thing we can do as citizens in North Carolina is to show up on Nov. 8 and think about which party is costing us jobs and which one is not.”

I like that one! But there’s more – the GOP doesn’t care. They don’t care about jobs or families or working individuals. All they care about is power, wealth, bigotry and pleasing the baby Jesus. Well maybe not so much if you live in North Carolina or Tennessee. In fact prior to Trump taking over, the GOP in North Carolina was being investigated for human rights violations in regards to HB-2.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The U.S. Justice Department says a North Carolina law that limits protections to LGBT people violates federal civil rights laws.

The Obama Administration agency on Wednesday put North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory on notice that that state officials must confirm by Monday that they will not comply with or implement the law called House Bill 2.

<not much more>

Which prompted the DOJ to sue North Carolina:

The Department of Justice Monday filed a lawsuit challenging North Carolina's HB2, known as the state's "bathroom bill." The complaint alleges that provisions in the law that bars transgender people from using bathrooms of public agency aligned with their gender identity violates various civil rights laws.

In particular the Justice Department is focusing on North Carolina state government as an employer and alleges that enforcement of the law discriminates against transgender state employees.

The complaint coincides with the deadline the Department of Justice had given North Carolina to confirm "that the State will not comply with or implement HB2," as the agency said it violates various federal statutes. Not only did Gov. Pat McCrory (R) signal he would not be backing down from enforcing the law, he fired an opening shot Monday morning by filing a legal complaint of his own against the federal government, accusing the Obama administration of a "radical reinterpretation" of civil rights laws.

But guess what? After all that the hideous, inhumane and wrong HB-2 still exists!

After previously agreeing to repeal HB2, which got national attention as the “bathroom bill,” the state’s Republicans didn’t exactly do that. While yes, the new bill introduced to repeal HB2 does outright repeal the law, it also includes includes a “Six‑Month Cooling‑Off Period.” The terms of said “cooling-off period are that “No local government in this State may enact or amend an ordinance regulating employment practices or regulating public accommodations or access to restrooms, showers, or changing facilities.” While HB2 became known for its restrictions on the transgender community’s use of public restrooms, it also gutted employment, public accommodation, and housing protections for the entire LGBT community in general.

As a result, the Charlotte City Council, who repealed their LGBT nondiscrimination law (the one that HB2 was developed as a counter to) on Monday as part of a deal to get HB2 repealed as well, can’t institute a new law for half a year. As a result, according to WBTV in Charlotte, Governor Elect Roy Cooper is telling the state democrats not to support the HB2 repeal bill as-is:

And The Winner Is…

And oh…………………………. Oh shit!!!! Tennessee sinks a last second three pointer to advance to the next round and knocks out perennial favorite North Carolina! Final score 85 – 82! Sorry North Carolina, you may have HB-2 but your state could potentially repeal it. Tennessee has the anti-LGBT skills and the talent to go very far in this tournament and potentially pick up the Family Values crown when they face Alabama in the next round of the tournament. Next week, it’s going to be a central shoot out as we’re heading back to the Gun Nut Conference. This time we’re going to see South Carolina and Missouri bring their big guns out. And we do mean big guns!

And now this:

Ladies and gentlemen, playing their song "Prayers / Triangles" from their album "Gore", please welcome the Deftones!

Yeah how about that?

See you next week!

Deplorable Wine Is Now A Thing

After an attempt to boycott Trump wine backfired, Trump supporters took things one step further. Introducing Deplorable Wine, available at an online retailer near you.

The wine was first mentioned on Fox&Friends, and then picked up by the Daily Caller. It’s called “Les Déplorables,” and takes its name from a repurposed insult Hillary Clinton used to describe some of Trump’s fans. Clinton called them a “basket of deplorables” in a campaign speech, and Trump’s supporters have taken to referring to themselves in similar fashion.

The American-made (obviously…) wine is produced in both red and white, either Cabernet Sauvignon or Chardonnay based, and retails for $15 a bottle.

iHeartRadio Wont Say Whether It Honored Conservative Radio Host Who Mocks Chicago Gun Violence

iHeartRadio is refusing to say whether it honored conservative radio host Michael Berry -- who routinely mocks Chicago victims of gun violence -- at the 2017 iHeartRadio Music awards. The online radio broadcasting company previously announced that Berry would be named “talk personality of the year” at the March 5 award ceremony.

Talkers, the radio industry’s trade publication, reported on February 27 that iHeartRadio was giving a “news/talk personality of the year” award to Berry, writing that the award “is a first” and that the “competition was open only to talk hosts who work for iHeartMedia stations.” The report quoted Berry claiming that he hosts “a show that dares to be funny.”

The Talkers article originally included the line “The award will be given in Los Angeles on March 5 at the iHeartRadio Music Awards,” but that language was subsequently removed without explanation. During the February 23 broadcast of The Michael Berry Show, Berry talked about being chosen for the award, saying, “It’s the first time our company has done this -- they have a big awards ceremony next month.”

On March 1, Media Matters published a piece documenting Berry’s regular ridicule of Chicago gun violence victims in a weekly “Butcher Bill” segment, which often includes playing “bingo” and other games with victims’ gunshot injuries. For example, during a February 20 broadcast, Berry said of a slain gun violence victim: “Saturday, 4:25 a.m., po-po responding to a call of shots fired, found 36-year-old John Gonzalez with a gunshot wound to -- to his head. To his head, everybody. B4, his head.”

The piece also mentioned that Berry frequently picks on teenage victims of gun violence in Chicago. After 14-year-old Tyjuan Poindexter was killed in a drive-by shooting, Berry joked that the teenager, who was an innocent bystander, “won't have to live with that name anymore.”

Definitely would be a good idea, this guy does not deserve to be honored.

Chance The Rapper Donates $1 Million To Chicago Public Schools, Calls Out Governor

Source: Chicago Tribune

Hours after Gov. Bruce Rauner offered two options to provide $215 million to Chicago Public Schools, Chance the Rapper cut the district a $1 million check that the Grammy-winning musician described as a "call to action" for the city's business and philanthropic community.

Chance was critical of the Republican governor's efforts to fix the city's schools during a news conference in West Chatham on the South Side, not far from the musician's old neighborhood.

"Gov. Rauner still won't commit to give Chicago's kids a chance without caveats or ultimatums," Chance told students and reporters at Westcott Elementary School. "Gov. Rauner, do your job."

Chance's comments quickly spread among his millions of social media followers and brought a dash of celebrity to a long-running fight over education funding. But they did little to resolve differences between politicians and school officials over how to dig the district out of a budget hole that could bring an early end to the school year for some 400,000 students.

Alex Jones Tells Trump To Use Violence Against His Opponents

But you need a set time every day that you go live. They try to say as the president, you shouldn't have a Twitter. Hell, next you shouldn't have blood flowing through your veins. I mean, god, everybody knows you can't talk to foreign leaders as president, and god knows you can't breathe oxygen, and god knows you can't have a Twitter. They want to isolate you, they want to lie about you, and they're not going to stop, you put your family, your treasure on the line, they're going to destroy your family if you don't win.

And let your family know this. I know they're smart, I know your sons are strong. But let the people in your family know there’s no coming back from this. This is total war. They're not going to let your family roll over, even if you're destroyed. Oh, they will let them roll over at first and then destroy them as well. They're going to destroy you, they're going to destroy Barron, they're going to destroy Eric, they're going to destroy Donald Jr., they're going destroy me, they're going to destroy Matt Drudge, they're going to destroy Ron Paul, they're going to destroy anybody like [White House senior adviser] Stephen Bannon that actually stood up for the little people, because that example can't be allowed. Because if you let one ant stand up, they might all stand up, and those little ants outnumber the parasites 1000 to one. If they want a war, let's let them have it. Now they're getting their ass kicked in the economy, your approval ratings are going up. Sir, they don't care. They're going to intimidate and pay off and roll people in your second-level operation to try to burn you. You must go on the offense. This is war. You think George Washington kicked the Redcoats' ass just with information? No. We tried to start this country peacefully; they wouldn't let us. And the rebirth of this country -- and I want peaceful resistance in the info war -- but through your office and through the attorney general they're already trying to broke-back and hamstring. These criminals are all on the Communist Chinese and Russian payroll. They're the ones who sold us out to every foreign interest -- that's what globalism is.

He is resorting to inciting violence - shouldn't this be enough to get that asshole kicked off Youtube?

First Shipment Of Russian Steel Arrives In New Jersey

PAULSBORO -- Standing in the shadow of a large ship were dozens of men and women wearing hard hats and reflective safety vests. Some had dirt on their clothes, signifying the hard work they had put in.

Just feet in front of them sat a dozen officials, clad in suits and ties, or skirts and heels.

While these two groups of people couldn't appear anymore different, they all had one common factor -- smiles on their faces.

These are the people who brought the dream of a fully-functioning port in Paulsboro to fruition.

On Wednesday, Doric Warrior made its final leg of a long journey to Paulsboro from Russia. The ship, 230 meters long, carried the first shipment of steel to the Paulsboro Marine Terminal. Crews worked tirelessly to unload some of the steel before Senate President Steve Sweeney and Assemblyman John Burzichelli, the men who envisioned and backed the port since day one, would welcome guests to mark the occasion.
