Pelosi famously said “You mistake them [GOP] for someone who gives a damn.” She went on to say — the GOP isn’t actually interested in governance. They also aren’t interested in democracy. And therefore, as @RadioFreeTom
says, they’re not worth saving.

Idaho Lt Governor flashes gun and Bible in video where she rejects state's lockdown measures

Source: raw story

Published 6 mins ago on October 30, 2020

Idaho’s Lieutenant Governor was featured driving around with a gun and a Bible in her car in a video where state lawmakers question the existence of the coronavirus and reject lockdown measures, Newsweek reports.

In the video, Janice McGeachin and several state officials made “declaration” against coronavirus measures. During McGeachin’s segment in the video, she’s seen sitting in her truck holding a handgun in one hand and a Bible in the other.

“We recognize that all of us by nature are free and equal and have certain inalienable rights among which are enjoying and defending life and liberty, acquiring, possessing and protecting property, and pursuing happiness and protecting safety,” she says.

Trump changes election night plans, cancels party at Trump International: report

Source: the hill

By Celine Castronuovo - 10/30/20 08:24 AM EDT

President Trump has reportedly called off plans to host an election night event at Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., a person familiar with the plans told The New York Times.

The source told the Times that Trump will instead likely remain at the White House on Nov. 3.

This comes after the Trump campaign last weekend sent fundraiser emails to donors announcing a drawing that would give one winner, along with a guest, the chance to be flown to the nation’s capital, where they would stay for free and attend the Nov. 3 party at Trump International as VIPs.

“November 3rd will go down in history as the night we won FOUR MORE YEARS,” the email read. “It will be absolutely EPIC, and the only thing that could make it better is having YOU there.”

At a press conference Monday, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) said she was not aware at the time of party preparations at Trump International, which Washingtonian reported is sold out for election night.

New audio tapes show how Trump bet against science

New audio tapes show how Trump bet against science

Analysis by Stephen Collinson, CNN Updated 1838 GMT (0238 HKT) October 29, 2020

(CNN)The failed bet laid by President Donald Trump to ignore science and prioritize his political goals early in the pandemic, revealed Wednesday in fresh detail by new Jared Kushner tapes, is backfiring in devastating fashion at the critical moment of his reelection bid.

Dark warnings by scientists and new data showing a nationwide explosion in a virus Trump says is going away, crashing stock markets and real-time examples of the White House's delusions about its failed response are consuming the President as tens of millions of early voters cast judgment.

Democratic nominee Joe Biden, leading in the polls with five days of campaigning to go, is accusing the administration of surrendering to the virus and offering to shoulder the nation's grief in the grim months to come.

The extent to which the country's worsening trajectory has overtaken the final days of the campaign emphasizes how the election has become a personal referendum on Trump and how he mishandled the worst domestic crisis in decades...................................

Unraveling Lindsey Graham takes bizarre shot at Donald Trump

https://twitter.com/PalmerReport/status/1322056139807297536?s=20

Bill Palmer | 10:30 pm EDT October 29, 2020

Last week Donald Trump loyalist Lou Dobbs urged his viewers not to vote for Lindsey Graham, because Graham hasn’t been willing to help Trump punish social media companies for taking down Trump’s false tweets. Dobbs would only be doing this if Trump told him to. It looks like Graham has figured out that Trump is out to get him, and now Graham is taking shots at Trump accordingly.

During an interview with local station WCNC, Lindsey Graham was asked why a stimulus package didn’t get done before the election. Graham’s answer: “I’ll be honest with you, I don’t see much desire to help President Trump on anything, to be honest with you.”

Graham then went on to explain why he didn’t like the House version of the stimulus bill, and he predicted that a bipartisan stimulus will get done shortly after the election. In other words, Graham and Senate Republicans weren’t willing to swallow the House stimulus just to help Trump’s reelection odds. Looks like the Senate GOP is indeed hanging Trump out to dry.

Senate debate on WSB canceled after Perdue pulls out of Sunday showdown

Source: Atlanta Journal-Constitutio

U.S. Sen. David Perdue and Democrat Jon Ossoff square off in an Oct. 28, 2020 debate in Savannah.

The third and final televised debate in the race between U.S. Sen. David Perdue and Democrat Jon Ossoff was canceled on Thursday after the Republican incumbent pulled out to join President Donald Trump in a planned rally in northwest Georgia.

The debate was scheduled weeks ago to air on Channel 2 Action News on Sunday, but Perdue backed out shortly after word spread that Trump would hold a rally for his re-election campaign in Rome the same day.

Locked in a statistical tie in the polls, Ossoff accused the Republican of ducking another face-to-face meeting after “millions saw that Perdue had no answers when I called him out on his record of blatant corruption, widespread disease and economic devastation” at a Wednesday debate. “Shame on you,” he added.

Perdue spokesman John Burke said “as lovely as another debate listening to Jon Ossoff lie to the people of Georgia sounds,” the Republican will instead join Trump at the rally, which has not yet been formally announced by the president’s campaign but was expected to take place Sunday evening in Rome.
