National Guard troops under Trump's command leave LA before court's deadline

Source: swoknews.com

Sonja Sharp - Los Angeles Times (TNS) 12 hrs ago

LOS ANGELES — Dozens of California National Guard troops under President Trump’s command apparently slipped out of Los Angeles under cover of darkness early Sunday morning, ahead of an appellate court’s order to be gone by noon Monday.

Administration officials would not immediately confirm whether the troops had decamped. But video taken outside the Roybal Federal Building downtown just after midnight on Sunday and reviewed by The Times shows a large tactical truck and four white passenger vans leaving the facility, which has been patrolled by armed soldiers since June.
.............

“For the first time in six months, there will be no military deployed on the streets of Los Angeles,” California Atty. Gen. Rob Bonta said in a statement. “While this decision is not final, it is a gratifying and hard-fought step in the right direction.”

The ruling Friday came from the same three-judge panel that handed the president one of his most sweeping second-term victories this summer, after it found that the California deployment could go forward under an obscure and virtually untested subsection of the law.....................

The guards deployment is still active in the court --if I understand this article.
But for now, they are gone from LA.

Evangelical Leader Says Trump’s Rob Reiner Post Represents ‘The Shame of our Generation’

Alex GriffingDec 15th, 2025, 3:01 pm

Christian Today editor in chief Russell Moore pulled no punches in blasting President Donald Trump’s comments Monday on the murder of legendary director Rob Reiner and his wife.

Trump posted to his Truth Social and appeared to blame the grizzly murder on his anti-Trump politics. Trump wrote Reiner was killed “reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS. He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before.”

Moore, who is also an evangelical preacher and former top official at the Southern Baptist Convention, shared Trump’s message and added, “How this vile, disgusting, and immoral behavior has become normalized in the United States is something our descendants will study in school, to the shame of our generation.”....................................

It seems it takes tragic deaths to awake some folks to the horrors of our "President"!!
It just might instill doubt that Trump has NO heart also--maybe.

Trump, 79, admits his own son wouldn't want to attend his memorial

I think RFK Jr's brain worm migrated to #Trump's so-called "brain".

Trump, 79, admits his own son wouldn’t want to attend his memorial

The 79-year-old president theorized that his eldest son Don Jr. would “rather be in the jungle” hunting animals than mourning at his graveside, admitting that it was “unfortunate.”

Trump says building DC triumphal arch is domestic policy chief's 'primary thing'

Trump praises Vince Haley, his ex-speechwriter tasked with creating Arc de Triomphe
knockoff amid affordability crisis

Amid concerns that he has failed to address a worsening affordability crisis, with health insurance premiums about to spike dramatically for over 20 million Americans, Donald Trump revealed on Sunday that his domestic policy chief’s main priority is building a triumphal arch for Washington DC.

Speaking at a White House holiday party, the president praised Vince Haley, his former speechwriter and a longtime aide to Newt Gingrich who now leads the White House Domestic Policy Council.

“Vince is unbelievable on policy,” Trump said. “And we have a policy thing that’s going to be unbelievable happening.”

The nature of that policy initiative might indeed be hard to believe for Americans struggling to make ends meet.

“I put Vince in charge of the triumphal arc,” Trump said, using the French word for arch. “We’re building an arc, like the Arc de Triumph,” the president added, mixing English and French, in remarks shared on social media by the White House.

Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar says her son was pulled over by ICE

Source: CBS news

Updated on: December 14, 2025 / 1:31 PM EST / CBS Minnesota

Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar said federal immigration agents pulled over her son on Saturday and asked him to prove his citizenship.

"Yesterday, after he made a stop at Target, he did get pulled over by [U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement] agents, and once he was able to produce his passport ID, they did let him go," Omar said in an interview with Esme Murphy on WCCO Sunday Morning.

WCCO has reached out to ICE about the incident.

The congresswoman said her son "always carries" his passport with him.

Omar said ICE also previously entered a mosque where his son and others were praying, but left without incident. After that, she said she "had to remind him just how worried I am, because all of these areas that they are talking about are areas where he could possibly find himself in and they are racially profiling, they are looking for young men who look Somali that they think are undocumented."...............

On Friday, Omar sent a letter to U.S. Department of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and Todd Lyons, acting director of ICE, accusing federal agents of "blatant racial profiling" and "an egregious level of unnecessary force" in the Twin Cities.
