Good old tougher than nails Joni Ernst has sppken up about the on campus protests concerning the Palestinian situation. And what she said wss some blathering nonsensical bs.

Please be quiet and stop showing us how (stupid) tough you are and try actually governing. As an Iowan i am ashamed of statements like that.

A person cant even have fun in this country
It seems that we cant even have fun in this country anymore. Fans gather for a celebration of their teams championship, a shooting happens. People go to a concert in Vegas, a shooting happens. People go to a nightclub in Orlando, yep, a shooting happens. Not to mention many schools, department stores and every other place getting shot up.
Around here, there are several businesses that have "no firearms allowed" signs on the entrance door. This fucking madness has to stop.
And i am not anti gun, but i am anti semi automatic guns. Weapons of war have no place in everyday life.
What happened to this once great state?
We are bordered by Illinois. Bluer than blue, Minnesota, fairly blue, and Wisconsin, which has problems but is at least purple. We won't mention Missouri or Nebraska. But anyway, there are plenty of progressives near here. But this state is deep red. It's almost like we sank into a wedge between Alabama and Mississippi. I don't like it. We've had some decent Governors, although not for many years. The Democratic party has no real candidates for Governor except maybe Rob Sand. Maybe. Our dictator, er, governor and her cohorts are waging war on education, women's freedoms, poor people, immigrants, and on and on. I used to love this state. But not anymore.

Ok as I'm sure everyone is aware of, the Powerball drawing has reached unbelievable heights. So naturally a lot of people are playing, including us. No real expectation of winning but we can afford $2.00 every now and then to buy a ticket. We'll, the guy that lives two houses north of me played and miraculously won a million dollars. That's $1,000,000. Yes, that's a lot of money. And when he got interviewed by local media he said all the things one would expect. Going to fix the house, help out the grandkids, etc. All well and good. Now here's where the injustice comes in. This guy is a hard core trumpite. His yard and house had and has trump garbage everywhere and he wears that damn red cap every time I see him anywhere.
It should have been a Biden backer who would donate to good candidates and/or causes. But nooo, it had to be a trumpite. Well I guess there's no reason to complain. He just got extremely lucky and I hope he enjoys the money. But damn.... A trumpite. Just doesn't seem fair.

It is my understanding that Hunter Biden can no longer own firearms as a result of the charges against him. And from the nra...crickets.
Ja Morant, a (superb) NBA player just got a 25 game suspension for stupidity, er, flashing a gun in a video. As far as anyone knows, the gun(s) in question was legally obtained by Morant. And yet...silence from the nra.
Could it be that Biden is the son of the PotUS and that Morant is an African American? Could that be the reason the nra has said nothing publicly to support either man's "2nd amendment rights"?
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that if Don Jr. or a Caucasian basketball player had the same situation, the nra would be screaming like crazy. Just sayin'.
