Last round of donations in.

Biden/Harris, MJ Hegar, Theresa Greenfield, Al Gross and Kathleen Williams. Pretty amazing that folks like Steve Bullock, Jaime Harrison, John Hickenlooper, Mark Kelly don't even need money at this stage. What our party has grown into, with ActBlue, is truly amazing and bodes well for the future.

Just dropped my final donation to Joe and Kamala.

$500 in. The rest will go to senate candidates. Let's go!

A question regarding early voting:

We know that Democrats are casting their votes early, and we know that Trump voters are going to mainly vote on election day, per polling. Do we know how independents are planning to vote/are they voting now? The point of the question is this: Is Joe banking mainly dem votes, which in and of itself is not predictive of the final result, or is he banking independents, those he's persuaded to peel off Trump, now as well? If people are voting in a manner that's reflective of current polls, the pool of people that could even be affected by a late swing back to Trump (vaccine, bad debate for Joe, etc) is growing smaller each day. Every day that Joe holds high-single-digit leads in the potential tipping point states, and a 10 point national lead, makes a Trump comeback less likely. Does anybody know if there's going to be a way to know who these voters are that are voting now? Reliable dems only or centrist persuadables as well?

It's funny, re: pence.

There's still enough paternalism, enough credence to pence's dominionist, rich-guy-enriching brand of republican politics engrained in some trump-disavowing pundits that they could convince viewers this was a draw (Michael Steele, Mike Murphy being 2). Then cnn polls kamala winning decisively. Turns out voters not only overwhelmingly reject trump but pences special brand of bullshit as well. Kamala was on point, on brand, and there for it tonight with regard to why America needs her and Joe.

$100 to Gideon.

$50 to Cunningham.
$50 to Kelly
$50 to Bullock
$50 to Hickenlooper
$50 to Harrison
$50 to Greenfield.

Done. Just now. Who's joining me tonight?

Biden may have run a fairly strong second tonight.

He needs to strongly make the point in the next debate that he still has the time and the ability to unite the moderate lane and beat Bernie. Not much room left for Amy, Pete or Elizabeth now. Super Tuesday may be too late.

February 20, 2020

I'm an Amy supporter, and will remain so.

However, she was not in the same league as Elizabeth Warren tonight. Warren was on point. I thought Bernie reverted to ranting too much also.

One potential positive to a Bloomberg candidacy is

donations. I've got a max donation sitting here waiting for our nominee (while making smaller contributions during the primaries). And no, I'm not wealthy but my wife and i have decided we're going to stretch financially to do whatever we can to defeat that rotten bastard in the white house. If Bloomberg is the nominee, I'll likely divide that contribution among several Senate candidates, and i imagine the same would be true of all democratic donors, large and small, nationwide. Think of the dollars available to the DNC, DCCC, DSCC, and individual candidates!
Let me also say that i hate writing that paragraph, but we must accept for now that that's the world we live in. And i don't support the mayor now, but would in a general election of course. Just an interesting thought.

Amy won the debate.

Hands down. Not close. Wish she could get more traction.

February 6, 2020

I'm prepared to go all-out for any nominee,

from Sanders to Bloomberg and all points in between. This man must never be allowed to return to the people's white house. It's an atrocity on a scale I believe even worse than any of us could have imagined. I'll be maxing out to whomever our candidate is, unless it's Bloomberg in which case I'll be sending money to several Senate candidates. I hope most agree with me. That's all, had to get that out after that shit show in the east room today.
