I wonder if any of these news commentators

who are so outraged this morning that democrats didn’t call witnesses need the additional $1400 stimulus or are in danger of losing additional unemployment benefits in a few weeks or need Covid relief in anyway. It must be so nice to be so privileged that you can get on your high horse over a useless principle.

"Cancel Culture" is a right wing talking point

used to demonize people being held accountable for their actions. It is the same as terms like the “death tax” or “partial birth” abortion that both misrepresent and vilify. Conservatives don’t want any accountability for what they say or do so they need to make accountability sound bad. Just as when they advocate free speech, they are really advocating consequence free speech. So remember next time you see a republican or libertarian railing against liberals for “cancel culture” or accusing liberals of being against free speech what they are really doing.
