That has nothing to do with whether or not I agree with her.

I respect peoples' right to be Holocaust Deniers; I think they're wacko and need to be countered.

I respect peoples' right to believe the earth is flat; they're wacko, too, and I don't bother countering them.

I put Palin's 'pro-life feminism' into the first category, but when you start wanting to anathematize people for having an opinion rather anathematizing the opinion you're treading on very dangerous ground.
