I am so old I vividly remember the prior "law and order" Republican criminal, Richard Nixon.

I also recall that when he publicly said that Charlie Manson was "guilty", the entire sentient segment of the American public was aghast and outraged at how stupid, inappropriate and prejudicial that remark was. Presidents were then and are now SUPPOSED to scrupulously avoid any comment that might influence a proceeding in a court of law.

I just listened to Trump explain that his 17 year old fanboy who used an AR-15 to shoot and kill two unarmed protesters had was just defending himself and "probably would have been killed" if he had not done so.

I offer no further comment as my vocabulary lacks adjectives that would be the verbal equivalent of smacking Trump upside the head.

Just came in from our garden and I need to ask if anyone has seen any free plans on-line for

making a kayak out of a zucchini-----maybe a canoe.

America, FYI: you know Joe.

You have had about 40 years of his public life to poke, prod and examine. He has made his share of mistakes and he has sometimes been wrong, but he has always been a strong, decent, honest man who genuinely sought to make America a better and stronger nation. He has an exemplary record of public service despite personal tragedies that would have utterly defeated many of us.

Over the next couple of months, however, you will be repeatedly asked to forget what you know. Trump's allies have already deployed billionaire-funded PACs---just one of which is starting with a 30 million dollar budget---to tear Joe down; to smear and defame him with any bit of filth or mendacity that they think may persuade you to dislike and mistrust him.

You may hear from women claiming sexual impropriety, Ukranians claiming that he or his son acted corruptly and, of course, thousands of on-line trolls accusing him of everything from cannibalism to cooperation with space aliens. If you value our democracy and the future of your children and grandchildren, you must ignore these efforts to purge reality from our public discourse.

You know Joe---and you sure as hell know Trump.

Vote for the American.

"Protests" are objections to the way the government is functioning. If they only say what the

government approves of when and where the government permits, they are not protests; they are kabuki theater---the "peaceful protests" the government smiles upon.

True protests---at a minimum---trespass, block traffic, disturb the peace and intentionally piss off the PTB.

"We, the people" protest in our arenas; the streets and public spaces. Perhaps it is time for our Congressional leaders to protest in THEIR arenas: the House and Senate.

Shut them down. RAISE HELL. Chant. Sit in. Hold press conferences. MAKE DEMANDS, not requests. In general, grab the public's attention and insist---loudly---that Trumpism is immoral and, by God, WILL NOT STAND.

OR-------we can continue to agree that "someone should DO something" and hope for the best while Trump continues to defy our laws and smirks "Whatchoo gonna do about it?"

If we don't get off our asses soon----they will be handed to us.

Hm-m-m------Trump hired someone to take his SAT and Penn entrance exam----so who

took that "difficult" cognitive exam he's always bragging about?

Does he REALLY know how to draw a clock face?

Even if we believe---and I do---that Biden/Harris will prevail on November 3rd,

will our democracy survive until January 20th?

There is much talk---here and elsewhere---which assumes as a "given" that Trump will do or say ANYTHING to stay in power.

Do we mean it?

If we do, must we simply allow him to do whatever he chooses to do, no matter who or what he destroys? Are we truly powerless to end the ongoing criminality that this madman insists is his special right?

The remedies our system offers for aberrant psychopaths likely Trump include only impeachment or removal per the 25th Amendment. But, no one ever dreamed that a single political party which represents a minority of Americans would be as shamelessly corrupt and disloyal and these Republicans and so they never dreamed that anything more than those powers would ever be needed. They were wrong.

And so, I close by asking again: are we truly powerless to do anything more than wait for the election and hope for the best?

Couple questions for those with law enforcement experience or knowledge:

Do they make special handcuffs for people with---like---really TINY hands?

And, do they make strait-jackets in orange?

Thanks in advance for sharing your expertise.

When Trump was asked what he thought of Red China, he looked a little puzzled and then

said it might be attractive on a yellow tablecloth.

After seeing the disgusting pictures of the trashy Rose Garden rally, one question:

when does the 40 foot tall gilded "TRUMP" get put atop the White House ( soon to be renamed "Trump House" )?
