ghostsinthemachine's JournalThe next nine months are going to be very difficult
Already this morning I had to tell an old white geezer to not talk politics at the table I am sitting at. (I was there before he was). And I had to change coffee shops for the exact same thing two weeks ago because instead of honoring my wishes a guy decided to threaten me with physical violence.
I get the passion and all, and I am glad they are engaged, but the right wing nutcases are out, and angry and loaded with talking points and hatred for everyone.
Gonna be a long nine months.
I am fucking sick of classic fucking rock!
Shit sucked then and sucks now. Why does it have to be playing everywhere? The supermarket, the Gym, the tavern I hang out in, the coffee shop, the dollar store, the AM/PM, every fucking where I have to endure Lynrd skynrd, Steve Miller, Eagles and all that music that sucked way back when and sucks even more today.
Seriously there has been a lot of amazing music since the 80's, yet you would think that Journey was the end all of end alls.
FUCK THAT SHIT.
Does Trump go to church? Which one?
I am curious now that he is piling up religious leaders endorsements....
Just saw The Martian
Great movie. The effects amazing, the acting superb. There were a couple of "who didn't see that coming" moments, but it's a movie. Fairly believable plot and details at least to me. Had a few huge quotable lines too " let's science the shit out of it" and another..... I think I liked this movie better than Star Wars (which was pretty damn good) and better than any movie I've seen in a long time (excluding Star Wars). Love that there was no violence and little, but extremely effective, cursing.
Is this up for awards? I don't follow that stuff so I don't know really.
Wanna hear your favorite album of the year right now?
http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2016/01/22/tedeschi-trucks-band-let-me-get-by-album-stream/Here it is. You won't be able to stop listening. This very well could be America's best live band as well.
Bottled water in Flint. Who pays? Any discounts?
City has approx 100,000 citizens. At a quart a day that is 400,000 quarts of water. Or 800,000 bottles of pint sized water. (In all of the photos ive seen of the water, it is always bottles and never gallon or larger containers). One thing it does seem is a robust new market for the water industry. I think I might start looking for the money trail that leads from Nestle, Coke, Pepsi, etc to the Governors office.
What if you can't afford to buy water? (Shit can add up fast)..... Do you shower with bottled water? That would, of course, skew the above figures, which are deliberately low, and who pays for it?
Hey you! Yeah you, you wearing shorts when it is freaking wintertime
Knock it off. You look like an idiot.
Nevada County CA emergency outdoor growing ordinance
Kvmr.org right now or archived later. Nevada county Board of Supervisors meeting adressing the suggested complete ban of outdoor cannabis growing prop9sedby the Nevada county sherriff.Quite the discussion. The Sheriff really did a great job of presenting. In my opinion the complete ban will become law in March. Turning a growing region into a poor farm.
http://www.kvmr.org/player/ now listening and the pro cannabis bunch is scoring some points, especially in regards to real estate and economic gains.
FOX shifts Clinton scandal focus
