We all know about previous events that have re-shaped our country. The Civil War, the Great Depression, WWII. We may not be at that level of historic events, but make no mistake, our country is about to change. Hopefully, like in the past, for the better. That's what has made our nation unique. When things were at their worst, we survived and became better and stronger.
Imagine what some Americans were saying during our Civil War. America will never survive. Lincoln is failing us. We are doomed. It must have been insane.
Today we are witnessing a major political party that was over taken by a movement in 2010 by the Tea Party. Main stream politicians were driven from office and replaced by racists, extremists and fascists. 13 years later the Republican has devolved into a Party that survives by propaganda, corruption only. At this moment a civil war is taking place within the Party to moderate, to reject the worst of the extremists who threaten our nation. The name Republican Party may survive, but it is going to become something else. What that is nobody knows.
We are witnessing investigations never before attempted against a president who through a series of unlikely events won the presidency. A president who attempted to hold power by force. A president while in power who committed crime after crime, abused his power, in an attempt to end our democracy. Imagine the pressure on the individuals who are investigating all of this. They know what is at stake. They have no precedent to follow. That don't know what will come of all the decisions they make. There is no history to guide them. They do know without a doubt, their decisions will re-shape our country.
History does give us hope as I have stated. When America goes through the worst of times. We have a unique way of using it to become better and stronger. The Idea of America is not easily defeated.
In a way, the DOJ has given Trump more and more rope to hang himself.
Trump was given the chance to return all the documents on multiple occasions. The DOJ put in place a grand jury to investigate the documents. They issued a subpoena demanding Trump return all documents. They found evidence Trump still had documents.
Trump and his legal team responded to the subpoena by returning more documents and declaring all documents have been returned. The DOJ once again knew they were lying. They brought the evidence they were lying to a judge who issued the warrant to search Trumps resort. They found secret documents in Trumps office, desk. Busted, this is a case where you plead guilty because you will lose if you plead not guilty. They gave Trump multiple chances and he kept lying.
There must be a logical reason why Smith has not charged Trump for obstruction yet. I can come up with possible reasons why things in other investigations are being delayed, not happening as quickly as we want. I cannot find a reason why Trump has not been charged for obstructing a grand jury subpoena. It's a smoking gun case.
There must be a logical reason.
Some people are going to have a bad ending when it comes to the secret documents investigation.
A Trump aide down loading White House documents, classified documents on to a thumb drive.????? Are you kidding me. I am not an expert on the law, but I think it's fair to say many serious laws were broken.
In my opinion the secret document investigation is bigger than we can imagine. The entire intelligence community must be in a state of High Alert. The FBI must be working over time trying to trace everything, everyone connected to the documents. What a mess.
In the end some people are going to pay a big price.

There are multiple respected prosecutors appearing on the news saying this.
The subpoena of Pence means the investigations are nearing the end.
WOW! The civil war inside the Republican Party has finally started.
For many years main stream Republicans were terrified of Trump and the MAGA members. They were terrified they would lose their seats if they fought back. That is changing fast right before our eyes. Moscow Mitch is going after the MAGA members in the Senate. He and Rick Scott are at each others throats over SS and Medicare. He removed other members from committees. Mitch knows MAGA members will lose them elections.
The same thing is happening in the House at a lower level because McCarthy has balls the size of peas. But it is happening.
Mainstream Republicans know Trump is no longer a major threat to them. They know they cannot win elections with MAGA candidates.

If Pence had a lick of courage, commonsense, he would do this.
Pence cannot win the Republican nomination for president. If he doesn't know that he is brain dead. Pence should end his run for president and instead do the right thing and turn on Trump.
Pence has an opportunity to reset his legacy which right now is a legacy of weakness, unconditionally following the most corrupt asshole ever to sit in the White House. Pence did the right thing on J6 because he called all kinds of people to see if he could do it. They told him no. So Pence refused to join the coup. He is no hero.
Pence right now has an opportunity to put country first and set things right. He can bring Trump and the coup plotters down. It would take great courage to do this, so he will most likely not do it. However, if he did do it, his legacy would change, history would remember him in a positive way. He would be remembered as someone who did the wrong thing for so long, but in the end did the right thing, for country.
The people of Ukraine will win their freedom. When Grandmothers and Grandfathers arm themselves
against you. You are pretty much fucked. That means the entire population is united against you and they will never surrender.
Putin can level cities, destroy infrastructure, it won't matter. The people of Ukraine will not surrender.
Putin does not understand Freedom.
When investigating certain crimes, Failure to indict is not an option.
When it comes to the secret document investigation. Trump committed a crime where not indicting is not an option.
Set aside the secret documents for a moment. When someone is subpoenaed by a federal grand jury for ANY evidence and they fail to do so. They hide the evidence and are caught red handed. That someone must be indicted. This is a serious felony. Not indicting is not an option.
In the J6 investigation, for me the most damning evidence against Trump is the 187 minutes. The 187 minutes proves a crime was committed and proves intent. Trump sent the crowd to the capital. The crowd attacked, the crime is on video. Trump watched the crime for 187 minutes. During that time he inflamed the attack. During that time there is undeniable evidence Trump refused to stop the attack, to stop the crime. That proves intent. He wanted it to happen. People on a jury would understand the 187 minutes evidence.
Because of examples like I just listed, I believe not indicting Trump is not an option.
