Lies, misogyny, racism, homophobia, xenophobia are things you get away with -- only if you are a white candidate. The actual racists can't muster enough courage to vote for a black person, even when partisanship is the incentive. Hate is bigger than even thug politics. The white racists stayed home.
To win future midterms, we should do what the republicans do -- hire a d-list actor who is black or trans as a Republican to dampen turnout from the actual racists, homophobes.
We need to limit their choices to voting for a black or trans republican, or continue to hate.
This should be fun.
the difference between GOP and DNC
When the GOP triggers the libs, they celebrate it like someone on their team just scored. They give no fucks, no matter how outrageous the stunt is.
When a democrat triggers the GOP, they act like we robbed them of their innocence. They manufacture outrage at every little slight, perceived and real.
And we let them control the narrative by clutching our pearls every time Karen and Kevin are upset.
Listen up: the GOP does not get to control the outrage calendar, and dictate what the rest of the world should be outraged by. Don't fall for it.
I propose we take a page from their very effective playbook. When they are sour, it's a sign we're winning! History bears this out: if they aren't upset, we're NOT DOING IT RIGHT!
More tan suits! More bdays outdoors! More mask mandates! Celebrate covid deathbed conversions! More critical race theory indoctrination! More medicare for all! More black lives matter! More gays!
The optics of not giving a fuck about faux outrage frees us to do the right thing and sometimes the right thing is to say, fuck it.
How can we trigger them tomorrow?

We need to stop framing covid vaccination as a public health issue, if we want herd immunity. We should instead play to GOPers selfish instincts.

And, I don't give a damn if karma kicks you in the ass for it. Honestly, I hope it does. The sooner the better, without collateral damage to the community if possible."
Framing vaccination as a public health issue is what socialists do. But what would a selfish capitalist do? What would a selfish, but uneducated capitalist do? A capitalist would say:
"I don't give a shit if you die. The vaccine is first-come, first-served. Don't get vaccinated. That just means less vaccine competition for me and my liberal friends. I will get mine and my family get theirs. Fuck you and yours. "
This is exactly the way a capitalist would say it. And it is the only language these idiots understand.

Resist glossing over Trump crimes and calls to "get over it"
I'm tired of Politico and the Hill calling for a "get it over with" impeachment process.
Serious crimes have been committed, and we will explore and expose all of it. If that means weeks, let it be so. The GQP does not dictate when and how our nation heals from this. They certainly don't dictate how long the impeachment headlines stay in the news.
We will not rush through this process because of the headline risk to Republicans!
On the contrary, we will let the truth out. The truth will dictate the amount of time these crimes merit.
If I had it my way, I would make every discovery a headline, and pray that each story is carried far and wide, sprouting new legs with each turn in the deliberations.
Let this process play out. It will not be fast. It will be slow and deliberative.
Expect conviction for Trump
Do not allow anyone to change that expectation.
Resist the temptation to lower the standard for impeachment. Especially here on DU. We expect conviction. We demand conviction. Nothing less is acceptable.

Damage to the Trump brand is at its worst when he is ignored. And he's about to become irrelevant and ignored.
These lawsuits are a dying brand's last attempts to remain in business.
