“Your world is on fire!” Cruz wants terrified little girl to know apocalypse is here because...Obama
He's like an insane televangelist.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tx.) took an odd approach to riling up voters in a New Hampshire speech on Sunday by shouting at a child. According to reports, at an event held by the Strafford County Republican Committee, Cruz attempted to convey the urgency of the American political situation:
Its now or never, he said. I dont think weve reached the point of no return yet. But were close. We are close! And I believe if we go four or eight more years on this same path, we risk losing the greatest country in the history of the world.
He continued: And the Obama-Clinton foreign policy of leading from behind the whole world is on fire.
The world is on fire?! asked a little girl who was in the arms of her mother.
The world is on fire, he replied. Yes! Your world is on fire!
After a moment in which is bizarre fearmongering set in, he revised his statement. But you know what? he said. Your mommy is here and everyone is here to make sure that the world you grow up in is even better.

CNN Has Completely Given Up on the Meaning of ‘Breaking News’
http://www.mediaite.com/tv/cnn-has-completely-given-up-on-the-meaning-of-breaking-news/Over the past year, weve seen CNN use its Breaking News Chyron to report that solving the missing MH370 plane mystery could take years and to tell us that the Titanic sunk 102 years ago, among other less than urgent stories. But this latest example just might be the best Breaking News ever.
After Washington, D.C. police banned sledding on Capitol Hill during todays snowstorm, CNN sent Joe Johns out into the cold to report on the parents and children who were boldly defying those rules:

What happens when you tax the rich and raise the minimum wage? Meet one of USA's best economies...
Wed Feb 25, 2015By Walter Einenkel
When Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton took office in 2011, Minnesota had more than a $6 billion dollar deficit and an unemployment rate of 7%. Today, Minnesota's unemployment rate is now below 4% and they have a budget surplus of over $1.2 billion dollars. How did Mark Dayton do this? Did he heed his Republican opponent Tom Emmer's advice?...
No. No, he didn't....
We all know that equal pay for women is a slippery slope that leads to voting rights and the loss of corsets and hoop skirts. Mark Dayton's approach of making people who can afford to pay, pay, helped eliminate the deficit. Raising the minimum wage gave more people money to spend. Businesses like money and they like people who have money to spend.

The Republicans are more of a danger to America than ISIS.
Republicans are willing to let thousands of Americans die because they hate Obama so much.
In fact, it's already been shown that thousands of Americans will die in states that don't expand Medicaid:
As many as 17,000 Americans will die directly as a result of states deciding not to expand Medicaid under Obamacare, according to a new study.
Researchers from Harvard University and City University of New York have estimated that between 7,115 and 17,104 deaths will be "attributable to the lack of Medicaid expansion in opt-out states" in a study published in Health Affairs.
"The results were sobering," Samuel Dickman, one of the authors, said, according to the Morning Call. "Political decisions have consequences, some of them lethal."
How many Americans has ISIS killed? I don't think they've killed thousands or will kill thousands in the future.
Republicans are more of a threat to Americans than ISIS will ever be.
BOOM: Obama signs order to raise minimum wage for federal contractors...disabled workers included!
Take that, GOPers....
Its official. Obama signs minimum wage order

President Obama signed an executive order into action on Wednesday afternoon to raise the minimum wage for federal contract workers by 2015.
The declaration mandates all federally contracted employees earn at least $10.10 per hour up from the current $7.25 beginning next year on Jan. 1. It is unclear exactly how many individuals will be affected, but the increase could potentially involve hundreds of thousands of workers and Americans with disabilities. The payment hike wont influence current contractors, though.
Im eager to work with Congress whenever I can find opportunity to expand opportunities to American families. But whenever I can act alone without Congress to use my pen to take executive action thats what Im going to do, Obama said during a press conference at the White House.
The presidents signature came one year after he first asked legislators to raise the federal minimum wage. While leaders in Washington took time to decide on their actions, six states passed individual laws increasing payment.

President Obama tries to move America FORWARD, GOPers do all they can to resist.
HuffPo: Unemployed Republican who votes libertarian cries when GOPers block unemployment aid
This is why you don't vote Republican/Libertarian:
"Imagine that, a 44-year-old man crying while watching TV," he said. He had watched the vote on C-SPAN 2. A day later, his cable provider cut him off because he hadn't paid the bill.
Holton is one of the 1.7 million long-term unemployed people missing out on federal benefits because Congress stopped providing them in December. Six years ago, he was making $85,000 per year at his job in tech sales. Today, the seams of his life are fraying.
<..>
A registered Republican who says he votes "libertarian," Holton has found the experience "maddening." After being laid off in June 2013, Holton, who lives in Mason, Ohio, exhausted his six months' worth of state unemployment benefits, and only received a few weeks of federal insurance before it expired on Dec. 28.
<...>
"I just want someone to have a freaking heart," he said, referring to members of Congress. "They are going home to a house where all the utilities are paid for, and we are here struggling."

House GOP weighs defunding ACORN for 13th time even though it hasn't existed since 2010
WASHINGTON -- When House GOP leaders abruptly shelved a bill to fund standard federal transportation and housing programs last Wednesday, one of the legislation's few uncontroversial provisions was a section banning funds for the anti-poverty group ACORN. Had Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-Ohio) been able to pass the bill, it would have marked the 13th time that Republicans have voted to block federal funding for ACORN since the GOP took over the lower chamber in 2011.
Oddly, however, ACORN, or the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, does not exist. And it did not exist at any time when the House GOP has held a vote on ACORN's access to government monies -- the group disbanded in the spring of 2010.
Just why, exactly, the House GOP keeps voting to ban funding for an organization that was extinguished more than three years ago remains something of a mystery, and the subject of Democratic ridicule.
"Word is the majority will also prohibit foreign aid to the Ottoman Empire this year," a Democratic congressional aide snarked to HuffPost. (Like ACORN, the Ottoman Empire does not exist.)

Clowns!!!
Licensed Gun Nut stands his ground against a 14-year-old girl's chihuahua and kills it.
Well I guess he was a law-abiding and responsible gun owner....until he wasn't? Or maybe he was just standing his ground?
Either way I'm sure the NRA will call for more guns and licensed "law-abiding" gun owners so that America can be a safer place.
14-year-old Detroit girl says that a neighbor shot and killed JoJo, her 1-year-old Chihuahua, because he wasnt on a leash and was making too much noise.
The licensed gun owner, however, told police that he gunned down the tiny dog because it was threatening him.
The girl, who WJBK declined to identify, said that she had gone inside for a few minutes while JoJo ran free in the yard. When she came back outside, the neighbor warned her to take the dog back in the house.
When he saw my dog running out of the bushes, , Im going to handle him myself, and then I guess my dog had run back up on him again, and he just shot him, the teen recalled as she cradled the dead dog in a blanket.

Fox News Ratings Plunge To New Lows...MSNBC Gloats In Press Release
Posted: 04/02/2013 5:24 pm EDT
The cable news industry was hit with another month of tough ratings news.
Every network saw its ratings drop from 2012, a politics-heavy election year that was guaranteed to spike audiences. In primetime, Fox News suffered the biggest plunge, falling 33 percent from its 2012 numbers. CNN fell a nearly equally precipitous 28 percent, while MSNBC dropped 4 percent.
Fox News, which has had several well-publicized ratings issues over the past few months, saw its primetime numbers fall to new lows in the all-important A25-54 category for many shows. MSNBC gloated in its press release, saying that hosts Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren had their worst demo ratings ever. Bill O'Reilly's demo ratings were also off by 26 percent.
<...>
MSNBC topped CNN in total viewers and demo viewers, and saw a 30 percent increase in daytime viewers in the A25-54 demo.
